What is the Summer Selection?

UNITAF's Organisational Chain of Command (ORGCOC) is re-appointed every six months, this selection has been delayed intentionally to offset the busy end-of-year period in future. The ORGCOC is crucial in managing UNITAF's day-to-day operations, composed of NCOs and Officers dedicated to executing the overall strategy and direction of the unit as defined by Central Command. As we approach the delayed start of this term, now commencing in May, we invite both existing and new members to engage with the process and contribute to our ongoing success.

How is the ORGCOC performing?

Since the introduction of our new command system, the units have matured significantly. Personnel, Operations, and Service Commands have reached high levels of autonomy and efficiency. Training Command continues to develop, with enhancements to the FTS and FM systems, and we expect it to reach full maturity by year-end. I also want to acknowledge the hard work of all ORGCOC members this past winter, particularly highlighting the invaluable contributions of Capt Jari (SC) who will be stepping down from Service Command and Executive Officer (XO) as he is pursuing education which may limit his time. Jari has been a long-term contributor to the unit for the last 4.5 years and I want to thank him on behalf of us all for that. He will remain as Server Administrator in Service Command and retains significant access to our systems as key person redundancy.

Once this selection is complete the Service Command units (J8 Mods and J9 Servers) are planned to be re-assigned to Operations Command (OC) until futher notice.

Any significant changes this cycle?

This selection cycle, the process for expressing interest and applying for positions within the ORGCOC has been updated. Instead of a form, interested persons should directly contact the responsible officer for each command (recommended method is Discord Direct Message):

  • Personnel Command: Capt Korean Falcon (PC)
  • Operations Command: 2nd Lieutenant Zuka (OC)
  • Training Command: 1Lt Whitewolf (TC)
  • Service Command: Maj James (CC)

When is the deadline?

The deadline for indicating interest in positions or command changes is now set for Wednesday May 15th 2024 and the selection will take place from this date until the term starts on June 1st 2024.

Who should respond to the Summer Selection?

All members of UNITAF's active force are encouraged to reach out to the respective command officers if they wish to contribute to the various commands or are seeking a management role within the ORGCOC. Your engagement is essential for the effectiveness of our operations across the board.
