FM/BG-313 - Realism where it matters
Guide

UNITAF strives for realism in its operations, balancing real-world military procedures with the practical limitations of the Arma 3 game engine. We use advanced mods and custom systems to enhance the realism and effectiveness of our operations. Our approach to realism is guided by the principle of "Realism Where It Matters," which means we focus on aspects of military simulation that enhance immersion and operational effectiveness, while avoiding unnecessary formalities that do not contribute to the gameplay experience.

FM/BG-619 - Deployment Flexibility
Guide

UNITAF operates on a flexible schedule, allowing members to sign up for deployments that fit their availability. We have a minimum activity requirement of one deployment per month, ensuring members remain engaged while accommodating their personal schedules. Deployments are categorised into combat operations and field training exercises (FTXs), providing both combat scenarios and training opportunities.

UNITAF's unique approach combines unparalleled flexibility with a non-fixed ORBAT (Order of Battle) system. In traditional fixed ORBAT systems, units deploy with predetermined roles and structures that members must adhere to for each operation. This often means members play the same roles with the same teams in every deployment, which can limit diversity and flexibility.

In contrast, UNITAF's non-fixed ORBAT system allows members to choose different roles and teams for each deployment. This approach encourages interaction with a diverse group of like-minded members and ensures a dynamic and varied experience. Each operation can see members in different roles, fostering a broader skill set and preventing routine from setting in.

Additionally, UNITAF's system is designed for adults with busy lifestyles, offering a realistic military simulation experience without rigid scheduling constraints. Members can select deployments that fit their availability and preferences, with detailed information about each deployment, including weather, time of day, and mission objectives, provided in advance. This flexibility allows members to engage deeply with the simulation while balancing other life commitments.

Our deployment management system supports this flexibility by providing a streamlined process for signing up and managing roles, ensuring that operations are well-coordinated and efficient, even with the varying availability of our members. This system not only enhances operational effectiveness but also contributes to a more enjoyable and engaging experience for all participants.

FM/BG-620 - Joining UNITAF
Guide

Joining UNITAF involves a structured process designed to ensure that new members align with our core values and operational standards. This process includes application, orientation, acceptance, and active participation.

Application: Start your journey with UNITAF by submitting a detailed application. Highlight your interests, skills, and what makes you a perfect fit for our unit. We look for individuals who are team-oriented and enthusiastic about military simulation.

Orientation: Once your application is reviewed and accepted, you will embark on orientation. This orientation is designed to align you with UNITAF's values, operational systems and expectations. The self-induction video series will provide you with essential information about our unit, its structure, and how we operate. During this phase, you will have access to dedicated chat channels on Discord where you can ask questions and interact with other applicants and candidates.

Acceptance: Upon successful completion of the orientation process, you will be formally accepted into UNITAF's ranks as a candidate. At this stage, you will be given the freedom to select roles and participate in operations that match your skills and interests. Our non-fixed ORBAT system empowers you to explore different roles and teams in each deployment, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience.
