The player can recognize the following meanings of smoke:

  • BLUE: Used to denote a FRIENDLY position
  • RED: Used to denote an OPFOR position
  • ORANGE: Used to denote a downed FRIENDLY vehicle
  • PURPLE: Used to denote a FRIENDLY MASCAS
  • WHITE: Used for concealment by both FRIENDLY and OPFOR
  • BLACK: Used for concealment by OPFOR
  • Other: Used on a by-case basis. Usually by ground communications elements to differentiate specific taskings such as an LZ or cache-demolitions.
