Policy

Communications at uncontrolled airfiels is very similiar to our regular communications policy.

You first identify the adressee which will be any traffic for the airfield you are at, for example:

Kalea noowi trafiic

Then you identify yourself:

This is longbow 5-1

Then your intentions, which can be taxiing, holding short, taking the runway (both for taking off and landing) and being clear of the runway

Taking runway 09 for north bound departure

You must always include the runway number (the heading of the runway) so that other traffic is aware of the direction you are going.

 

Full example:

Molos traffic - this is Hog 1-1 - taking runway 27 for landing
