FM/BP-767.V2.00 - Replacing destroyed player assets
To encourage responsible use of critical assets, the following rules govern their replacement after destruction. The replacement time is dependent upon the operational context:
| Asset type | Conventional conflict | Conventional conflict, player force superior | COIN |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light vehicle | Instant | 5min | 15min |
| Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) | 5min | 15min | 30min |
| Tank | 15min | 30min | 45min (one replacement only) |
| Aircraft with guided munitions | 15min | 45min | No replacement |
| Aircraft with unguided munitions | 15min | 30min | 45min (one replacement only) |
| Other aircraft | 15min | 30min | 45min (one replacement only) |
- Realistic deployment: All replacements must spawn at a friendly base and be moved to the AO in a realistic way.
- Wreck recovery: If a vehicle wreck is recovered and transported to a friendly base, the required minimum time for replacement may be waived. The maximum replacement count however must be respected.
- Ground vehicle travel time: For ground vehicles, travel time from the friendly base to the AO may be subtracted from the required minimum replacement time.
- Bug-related destruction: If a vehicle is destroyed due to an unforeseen bug, it may be replaced instantly at the location of destruction, at the discretion of the Lead Game Master.
- Aircraft practice: Aircrews may use a temporary aircraft for practice while awaiting a replacement provided they stay away from the AO. After the required minimum time, the aircraft must land at the friendly base before departing to the AO.
