Execution
Commander's IntentThe plan is to do a combined attack on the first town to secure a forward point from there Bear and Badger will move to each cover there own forward objectives to search and destroy enemy forces.
Tasks and Sequencing
Bear: Up to Phase 0, Bear wil Column up in front of Badger and move past Point Eagle. Immediately after crossing the Bridge, Bear will move about 500m South and dismount, advancing Eastbound to establish a BoF and create a distraction for Badger to Flank the enemy. After Successful Entry by Badger, Bear will follow suit and clear the Southern Sector of Gross Liedern. After the expected heavy fighting in Gross Liedern, Bear will establish a BoF East of the Town and resupply, if circumstances allow. Once the town has been cleared entirely, Bear will re-mount their Vehicles. Once Mounted, Bear will proceed past the destroyed Artillery Battery, which was previously taken out by SF, and dismount in the Wooded Area North-West of Mehre. Bear will then proceed to push Eastwards and clear Mehre of any Hostiles. Be advised: we are expecting Enemy (Armored) QRF during any Phase to advance towards us from Hanstedt or Lehmke. Badger Platoon Phase 0 BEAR and BADGER platoons with BULL and FOX in support rally to break through Point Eagle. Following the bridge, BADGER and FOX break off northwards via WP B1A - B1B in a flanking movement. Phase 1 BADGER manoeuvres with fire to seize an entry point in the rear echelon of the garrisoned town. FOX screens as rear guard until AP B1C is secured and staged. From AP B1C, BADGER clears the blue northern sector house to house. BADGER and FOX rally at AP B1C to remount, then shock Klein Liedern via WP B2A. Phase 2 BADGER dismounts FOX around WP B2A and bounds into town. BADGER 1 advances along the NW road towards WP B2B. BADGER 2 advances along the N road towards WP B2C. Both squads remain in mutual support at all times. FOX screens the infantry from a SW position with freedom of manoeuvre extending no further than WP B2A. Once both waypoints are secured, BADGER and FOX rally at RP B2D. Phase 3 Remaining dismounted, BADGER and FOX advance on WP B3A in a platoon wedge with mechanised assets trailing. Using WP B3A as a staging ground, BADGER scopes Tatern’s southern bounds for an ideal entry point. Continuing in a dismounted mechanised advance, platoon wedge, BADGER and FOX commit to Phase 3A. From AP B3B BADGER 1 advances along the south of the road, clearing building by building. BADGER 2 advances parallel, screening the north flank. FOX establishes a manoeuvring screen from the south flank. BADGER and FOX advance no further than phaseline 3A until the mark.
