--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information
In a two-pronged advance, the British and US coalition forces coordinate the assault on Stocken and surrounding settlements in an effort to encircle the heavily fortified town of Molzen. The US drive the southern main effort from FOB Javwel, while the British support from the recently occupied town of Oetzendorf to tie up Soviet reinforcements along the north flank. Intel suggests the Soviet garrison in Molzen will not attempt a break-out because of their diminished strength and advantageous fortifications. Most resistance will be along our direction of assault. Nevertheless, we must keep an eye on our backs as we advance along the circuit.

Friendly Forces
US Heavy Mechanised Infantry Platoon 3x Rifle Squads 3x M2 Bradley IFV Sustainment 1x Logistical Support Element 1x Combat Medical Team mobile with 3x M113 + 1x M113 MEDEVAC Combat Air Patrol Flight of 2x F-16

Supporting Assets
Guerrilla camps are in close proximity to our area of operations. PID of armed personnel is paramount.

Enemy Forces
Soviet Armed Forces An unknown concentration, unknown composition of Soviet garrison and manoeuvre units suspected to be airmobile and mechanised. Coalition HQ expects a counter-push in force soon.

Tasks and Sequencing

Staging

OSCAR, ECHO, WHISKEY, JULIET call-signs prepare to depart from FOB Javwel. OUTLAW call-sign prepares to get airborne from the US Airbase. Whiskey prepares 3x M113 with squad-designated supplies to be assigned to one OSCAR squad each. OSCAR 1, 2 & 3 each mount their designated APC. OSCAR 9 & 6 mount a Bradley of ECHO call-sign. OSCAR 8 & 7 mount a second Bradley of ECHO call-sign. The convoy rolls out in order of ECHO 1 - ECHO 2 - WHISKEY VIC 1 - WHISKEY VIC 2 - WHISKEY VIC 3 - JULIET - ECHO 3

OBJ RUBY

Convoy will bypass a forested pond to its south to quickly establish hold positions. Forming a platoon line towards OBJ Ruby, WHISKEY M113 will lead the charge, followed by ECHO Bradleys in suppressive support. Upon reaching their designated AP, all squads dismount and secure it. Maintaining a platoon line, OSCAR bounds through CQB to clear OBJ RUBY. Progress is to be made up to each Phase Line, at which point the platoon reconsolidates to advance in concert. ECHO holds outside small-arms and RPG threat ranges to overwatch with freedom of movement extending no further than the infantry line. RV1 at the central T-intersection is a pre-designated regroup point for casualties, resupplies and other references.

OBJ SAPPHIRE

From PL Charlie, platoon stages a second mounted assault towards OBJ SAPPHIRE. Shifting slight west for cover, M113 charge to the dismount point with ECHO in support. All squads dismount. OSCAR 1, 2 & ECHO 1 cross the main bridge into Sector A1. OSCAR 3 & ECHO 2, 3 move to AP 5, where OSCAR 3 crosses a wooden bridge into Sector A2. ECHO 2, 3 hold on the near side of the river for support. OSCAR 3 secures and holds A2. OSCAR 1 & 2 advance through A1 into A3 to form a platoon line with OSCAR 3 facing Sector A4. OSCAR platoon advances through and clears Sector A4. RV2 at the intersection in Sector A2 is used for casualties, resupplies and references. OSCAR and ECHO move along the river on both sides towards and secure RV3 as a staging point for the following assault.

OBJ DIAMOND

Via RV4 serving as a fallback and reference point, OSCAR conducts a breach into Sector C3. OSCAR forms a line facing east along the MSR. Hold fast until C3 is cleared. With C3 clear, OSCAR advances along the MSR in a bounding fashion towards C1. In C1, OSCAR pivots left to face Sectors B3-B1. Two squads will bring up the east flank along the street, the remaining squad moves along the west street with Echo screening from outside the perimeter.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
All OSCAR squads depart from FOB Javwel with combat supplies. Each squad has a fixed M113 assigned to it, colour-coded with flags. WHISKEY is responsible for continued resupplying from within the inventory of the M113. LOGPAK locations are to be minimised to maintain momentum and should coincide with other tasks such as CCP for efficiency.

Medical
The primary means of medical sustainment is via ground-based combat medical teams in assigned M113 ambulances.
