--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationResponding to an imminent Nationalist attack on the town by the final ChDKZ supplied Nationalist stronghold, the US Army Rangers arrived in Balota to an assault in progress and an already demolished town. After fending off the ChDKZ supplied Nationalist offensive and rendering aid to the town, the Rangers sought out and destroyed the last remnants of OPFOR and Independent cooperation with the elimination of their final stronghold. Right as the Rangers had disposed of the last weaponry cache, the ChDKZ army launched an all out offensive on the nearby city Tchernogorsk from their neighboring front line. The US Ranger squad defended the city long enough to conduct an evacuation of all remaining civilians and broke contact as OPFOR forces overtook the city. The time is now 23:00 and the US Army Rangers are back on the offensive: inserting a squad via the southern ocean, using the cover of night to perform a counterattack behind enemy lines and weaken ChDKZ operations in Tchernogorsk in preparation for an all out offensive.
Friendly Forces
1x US Ranger Mechanized Infantry Squad 1x UH-60M Blackhawk 1x AC-130U "Spooky" Gunship
Supporting Assets
The Estonian Armed Forces have been tasked with assisting Balota with post-attack recovery and will not be accompanying the US Army Rangers on this operation. (edited)
Enemy Forces
Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChKDZ) Forces are a state-backed paramilitary and as such, have access to a modern array of Russian equipment. The preceding attack on Tchernogorsk and subsequent reconnaissance has revealed the presence of ChDKZ artillery and medium armor within the city, and dense fortifications on the northern and western perimeters. The Chernarussian Nationalists are comprised primarily of ex-military, police and civilians. They are typically equipped with a mix of older Soviet and Western equipment, although recently funneled ChDKZ supplies have resulted in an increase of vehicle presence. Following the destruction of the final stronghold of ChDKZ and Nationalist cooperation, we are not expecting any Independent forces within OPFOR territory. (edited)
Mission
TaskingThe US Army Ranger squad is tasked with using the cover of night to insert behind enemy lines, disrupt ChDKZ operations in the area and breakup the frontline fortifications from within the city. To avoid the built up northern and western perimeters, the squad will be inserted via the southern ocean, sling loading RHIBs for airdrop. Maintaining stealth for as long as possible, the squad will disable the artillery batteries used to demolish the city, capture or kill two HVTs: Gustav Mikel's superior, and the logistics coordinator of the ChDKZ in Tchernogorsk, and breakup the frontline fortifications in preparation for a large scale US offensive. Should the squad break stealth, we are expecting ChDKZ to begin assembling a reaction force from their eastern territory. An AC-130U Gunship has been assigned to assist with over watch, demolish frontline fortifications, maintain perimeter security and provide CAS as requested. Additionally, a UH-60M Blackhawk has been assigned to the squad for medical, logistical and close air support. (edited)
End-state
Destroy the artillery batteries used to shell Tchernogorsk Capture or kill Nikolai Antonov, Gustav Mikel's superior and the commander responsible for the assault on Tchernogorsk. Capture or kill Isidor Sokolov, the logistics coordinator for the fortified ChDKZ company Break up the northern and western fortifications on the perimeter of Tchernogorsk in preparation for a full scale US offensive (edited)
Execution
Commander's IntentMaintain Stealth for as long as possible Place Mines on route of QRF Destroy Arillery Batteries with delayed detonation as a diversion Eliminate or capture HVTs Exfil
Tasks and Sequencing
Our tasking is to land via boats off the south coast. We will then dismount on the coast, hide the boats and push north. Place mines to delay QRF forces, destroy arty emplacements as a diversion and capture/kill 2 HVTs. Once complete we will aim to destroy enemy assets while en route to a heli exfil covered by the AC-130. The AC-130 will become active at the most suitable moment, either at the loss of stealth or as a diversion for HVT capture. HVTs: Isidor Sokolov
