--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationThe Russian Federation has attacked Poland, and a platoon in Huta is dispatched southeast to delay Russian advances towards SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY.
Friendly Forces
Our element, Hawk, consists of one motorised platoon, consisting of: 2x squads, each with two MATs, one combat engineer and one combat medic 5x Tumak-2 - one per fireteam Adjacent friendly units JW3797 - Forward Combined Arms element at SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY. Is expected to defended SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY and provide a fallback location for our element. 1x motorised company stationed at a military depot Northeast of SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY. Expected to execute operations to delay OPFOR advances. JW5699 - Electronic Warfare command unit stationed at Svarog Main Command Center. JW2305 - Special operations forces - search and rescue. Location generally West of SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY.
Supporting Assets
3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment - US combined arms regiment based in Nadbór.
Enemy Forces
1x brigade of wheeled combined arms unit moving from South-Southeast towards SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY. 1x rocket artillery brigade supporting the brigade of wheeled combined arms unit moving towards SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY. 1x squad of Spetsnaz assumed located in the area. Most Likely Course of Action The motorised combined arms brigade pushes along the most direct route to SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY whilst infantry northeast of the brigade moves to take Point Lewes and infantry Southwest moves to flank Defence Line Eagle from the West. Spetsnaz units move to destroy Svarog Main Command Center. Most Dangerous Course of Action Infantry movement similar to expected movements, but the motorised combined arms brigade pushes to Point Lewes before attacking Defence Line Eagle from the East. The Spetsnaz unit moves to the rear of SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY to engage JW3797 from the rear and destroy units disengaging to the north. Although the most dangerous course of action by the Spetsnaz unit must be considered probable if not likely, the combined arms brigade is unlikely to move to Point Lewes due to the terrain.
Mission
TaskingThe Platoon is tasked with delaying an AFRF assault on the SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY, a key stockpile of Supplies caught off-guard by the sudden Invasion on multiple fronts. The longer we can buy time, the more our frontline can be reinforced or mobilised for a retreat.
End-state
Depending on the Enemies disposition and ferocity, our forces will either be able to hold the Frontline, or retreat for R&R to either the Svarog Command Centre, or the city of Nadbór.
Execution
Commander's IntentOur platoon is tasked with delaying the Russian advance with the purpose of enabling reinforcement of the SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY and disrupting the Russian efforts to capture our lands.
Tasks and Sequencing
Hawk assembles in Huta, ensuring before main brief that each Tumak-2 has been loaded with adequate ammunition for the mission. Particular care should be given to sustaining our AT capabilities. See map tab for full map. Phase 1 Hawk is first tasked with moving to Dismount Bear. Patrol order of march: Hawk 1, Hawk 9, Hawk 2 At Dismount Bear, Hawk leaves the Tumak-2s, moving to Point Lewes. At this location, combat engineers will rig the radio station with explosives in order to deny OPFOR access to the site and its technologies. Point Lewes will be monitored periodically by Hawk 6, and combat engineers will be asked to blow up the site if it has become occupied by OPFOR. Phase 1 is completed as soon as combat engineers report that the position is adequately rigged. Phase 2 Hawk is then tasked to destroy advancing Russian combined arms units by means of ambush at Ambush Brighton in order to delay Russian advancements towards SIŁA MUNITIONS FACILITY. Hawk 1 will situate themselves in a Support by Fire position in the front of the kill zone, southeast of Point Bravo. Their purpose as the blocking element will be to initiate the contact when suitable as OPFOR is sufficiently within the identified kill zone. Priority for Hawk 1 is to engage the front of the enemy force. Hawk 2 will find good locations north of the kill zone. Their purpose as the flanking element will initially be to isolate the enemies by engaging their rear elements, then assault and destroy remaining elements with support from Hawk 1. Combat engineers will place mines at Point Bravo. Hawk 7 supports the platoon by digging trenches. Phase 2 is completed as soon as the ambush has been executed and AT capabilities have been expended. Leaders must at all times be aware of and orient field leader concerning their AT situation. Tactical disengagement might be initiated early if Point Lewes is still occupied by OPFOR after destruction. Phase 3 As soon as Phase 2 has been completed, Hawk will disengage and move back to Ambush Falmer. The platoon will resupply at their designated Tumak-2 situated in Dismount Bear, though resupply will be through relief in place. Security Southwards must be maintained at all times. Combat engineers will place mines at Point Delta. Hawk 2 will find a suitable Support by Fire location close to marker Ambush Falmer and act as the blocking element. Hawk 1 will act as the flanking element and find themselves northeast of the kill zone. Their main task will be to isolate OPFOR units and then to destroy them, with support from Hawk 2. Phase 3 is completed once the ambush has been executed and our position proves to be untenable. Tactical disengagement may be initiated early should sufficient enemy forces advance past Point Delta, Point Echo or Point Zulu. Phase 4 Depending on mission-related developments, Hawk will disengage to Defence Line Eagle, supporting JW3797 in their defence of the ammunition facility.
