--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationThe successful capture of Chernogorsk by the US earlier this week has produced massed movement of ChDKZ forces from the north to the southern front and has revealed the Krasnostav Airbase as a target of opportunity. In response, the US Army Rangers are launching an offensive, seeking to end ChDKZ air superiority on the northern front before the area is reinforced. While a mechanized platoon accompanied by air assets prepares for the main assault, a US Army Ranger light infantry platoon is tasked with scouting the path to the airbase and destroying any Anti-Air threats in the AO that may compromise the full offensive. A covert approach to the AO is critical to delay the reinforcements of any ChDKZ forces from the southern front.
Friendly Forces
1x US Army Ranger Light Infantry Platoon 1x CH-47F Chinook is on standby for extract once all AA threats are eliminated 1x UH-60M Blackhawk is on standby for logistical support once all AA threats are eliminated 2x Civilian liaisons have been assigned to aid the US in a covert approach through ChDKZ checkpoints
Supporting Assets
The Estonian Armed Forces have been tasked with fortifying and reinforcing Chernogorsk and will not be accompanying the US Army Rangers on this operation.
Enemy Forces
Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ) forces are a state-backed paramilitary and as such, have access to a modern array of Russian equipment.
Mission
Tasking1) Gaining access to the AO through a covert approach 2) Eliminating all Anti-Air threats leading to the Krasnostav Airbase 3) Eliminating all Anti-Air radar emplacements leading to the Krasnostav Airbase 4) Extraction via ChH-47F Chinook
End-state
After the successful removal of AA threats from the AO, exfiltrate via CH-47F Chinook and reconvene at Sakums Airbase to approve the mechanized platoon for departure.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to interrupt hostile staging operations and disable the AA/SAM threat in preparation for an assault on the airfield.
Tasks and Sequencing
Staging
Romeo platoon prepares to depart from Sakums Airbase by means of unmarked civilian vehicles, liaising with local guides as drivers. Weapons red. Romeo platoon must maintain an undercover profile to slip through checkpoints. An initial primary concern is the gathering of intel.Phase 1
Romeo platoon travels east under direct supervision of civilian liaisons. A possible dismount location will be near the town of Gvozdno, terrain and intel depending. Upon dismounting, Romeo platoon seeks concealment, e.g., in the woods northeast of Gvozdno. The UAV is deployed to discover the exact locations of SAM sites and good approaches to the objective, marking them in sequence of best approach.Phase 2
Weapons Orange Romeo commits to clearing the town of Gvozdno first to create a fall-back point. Using prior intel, Romeo seeks to avoid becoming decisively engaged by the enemy. When overwhelmed in enemy territory, break contact towards cover, then recommit.Phase 3
Breaching the military base proper, all three squads enter to avoid separation. Using the UAV intel, the base will be divided into quadrants in the field and cleared half by half. It is imperative we rig the objectives for detonation as we go to allow us a quick exfil if necessary.Exfil
Upon completion of all objectives, Romeo platoon disengages southwards for pick-up by Chinook.Administration/Logistics
