--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information
In preparation for the eventual assault on the Severograd and Novodmitrovsk cities, a small Ranger section has been tasked with destroying targets of key infrastructure that are being used to support the region. The Chedaki have been utilizing the forest peaks of Serpentine Ridge to conceal their camps and run sabotage missions, whilst the nearby Novodmitravsk Railyard is being used to transport and store supplies.

Friendly Forces
- [1x] Ranger Raid-Section

Enemy Forces
Due to the turbulent terrain, the enemy force consists mostly of infantry and light vehicles, however due to the short distance between the AO and Novodmitrovsk, it is likely that large amounts of reinforcements will be sent to defend our objectives once our intension is compromised.

Mission

Tasking
OBJECTIVE COPPER: - Set up a communication relay on the Ostry peak. - Suppress any enemy resistance in this region. OBJECTIVE STONE: - Locate and destroy all enemy camps and caches hidden on Serpentine Ridge. - Conduct reconnaissance on the Novodmitravsk Railyard. OBJECTIVE STEEL: - Assault the railyard and destroy any enemy supplies that can be found. - Sabotage the bridge and any locomotives that may be at the station. Upon completion of OBJECTIVE STEEL, all friendly units are to rapidly withdraw from the AO in order to minimize the risk of being overrun or ineffective.

End-state
1) All objectives are complete as swiftly and effectively as possible. 2) All capable friendly units have rapidly withdrawn from the AO.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to cripple the logistical capabilities of Chedaki forces in the Northern region, preventing them from bringing in further troops, supplies and heavy ordnance via the Novodmitrovsk railroad. Clearing out enemy encampments and eliminating patrols will also allow for freedom of movement through the Serpentine forest, will weaken the overall enemy strength and coerce ChDKZ units to move away from the frontline to reinforce their rear positions.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 1 Ranger elements will step off from the staging area towards WP1, then divert East-bound towards OBJ Copper, sweeping through the forest for enemy foot patrols. Once arriving at Ostry peak, a communication relay will be deployed in a suitably concealed position, while Ranger 1-1 and Ranger 1-2 cover the Northern approaches. PHASE 2 After establishing the communication relay, Ranger elements will proceed North towards WP2 and will then reconnoitre OBJ Stone and prepare to advance. Once all elements are in position, Ranger will commence their assault into OBJ Stone neutralising all enemy garrisons and destroying any supply caches they encounter. Once all encampments at OBJ Stone have been cleared, Ranger will move regroup at WP3 on top of Serpentine Ridge. PHASE 3 From WP3, Ranger elements will move Northeast through Serpentine Valley and make their way towards WP4, suppressing any enemy resistance they encounter. Upon reaching their waypoint, Ranger 1-1 and 1-2 will recon the area surrounding OBJ Steel for the purpose of finding suitable attack vectors. Once all teams are in position, Ranger will commence their assault into OBJ Steel. Ranger elements must act with haste, as it is highly likely the ChDKZ will learn of our true intentions and will start to divert local forces to defend their positions. Upon clearing out the enemy garrison at OBJ Steel, any supply caches, heavy ordnance and the railyard bridge shall be rigged with explosive devices. PHASE 4 Following a successful assault on OBJ Steel, all Ranger elements will leave towards the Southwest and will detonate any explosive devices once a safe distance has been reached and a battle damage assessment has been conducted. Ranger will then exfil back toward friendly lines where they will be debriefed in the field.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
The possibility of resupply once in the field will be non-existent, team leaders are responsible for ensuring their members have adequate supplies to last for the duration of the mission. An ammo bearer will be present to carry a small amount of reserve supplies that can be distributed when necessary.
