Situation

Background Information
Upon receiving intelligence of an impending enemy attack, a British Army mechanized platoon prepares to ambush and assault a weakened Soviet front line before they are able to reinforce their positions... *NOTE: THIS ORBAT USES A DEVELOPMENTAL 8 MAN SQUAD STRUCTURE, INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE FIELD LEADER

Supporting Assets
NATO forces are conducting their own defenses and assaults across the Soviet frontline.

Due to the positioning of the AO, Soviet forces consist mostly of infantry supported by APC/IFVs and occasional MBTs.


Mission

Tasking
OBJECTIVE ALPHA: - Move to designated positions and prepare to ambush Soviet reinforcements. - Assault and destroy enemy installations and vehicles. OBJECTIVE BRAVO: - Flank and assault the town of Dormte. - Search and destroy enemy infantry, vehicles and installations. OBJECTIVE CHARLIE: - Assault and capture the town of Suttorf. - Search and destroy enemy infantry, vehicles and installations. OBJECTIVE DELTA: - Assault suspected enemy HQ within the town of Neumuhle. - Hold and defend Neumuhle from potential Soviet counterattacks in the south and east.

End-state
All objectives successfully completed and all friendly units holding at Neumuhle.


Execution

Commander's Intent
This mission will take place during dark hours and with forecasted heavy fog. The purpose of this mission is to ambush enemy forces attempting to reinforce on our front line north west of Donte, to do this we will under the cover of darkness, setup ambush positions north-west of the depot and await the supply convoy to attack. Following successful completion we will counter-attack enemy positions to the south-east per our assigned objectives in support and in coordination with NATO forces across the frontline.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 - Ambush Setup ALL CALLSIGNS are WEAPONS RED. BANDIT 1, BANDIT 2 , BANDIT 9 and BANDIT 3 step off on foot through the forest south toward WP-A. BANDIT 3 breaks off formation toward WP-E via WP-D and WP-C. BANDIT 1 breaks formation via WP-A to AP-1 and BANDIT 2 breaks formation via WP-A to AP-2.NOMAD 4, NOMAD 4-1 and ALL APCs hold at the holding position engines cold and dark. BANDIT 1, BANDIT 2 , BANDIT 3 go-firm at assigned assault positions and prepare to ambush on go from BANDIT 9, planned for when the convoy arrives. BANDIT 3 covers the southern road in and BANDIT 1, BANDIT 2 the facility to the West. PHASE 1 Objective Alpha ALL CALLSIGNS engage on BANDIT 9 mark. BANDIT 3 to focus on in-road. BANDIT 1 and BANDIT 3 join assault on installation led by BANDIT 1 with BANDIT 2 supporting west until reaching the Water Tower - Search for Intel. ALL APCs move into supporting positions for attached Squads. NOMAD 4 and NOMAD 4-1 move to staging positions near WP-A and WP-B. BANDIT 3 extends to OP-4 to observe south and BANDIT 1 goes firm OP-6 and BANDIT 2 goes firm OP-5 in case of further attacks, if none ALL CALLSIGNS embark transports here for Phase 2. PHASE 2 Transit to assault OBJ-B ALL CALLSIGNS convoy via WP-E, F, G, H in convoy order BANDIT 3, 2, 9, 1 followed by NOMAD. At WP-H NOMAD stage OP-H. BANDIT 9 and BANDIT 2 stage AP-L and BANDIT 1 stages AP-K. BANDIT 3 stages AP-J via WP-I and WP-J. PHASE 3 assault OBJ-B BANDIT 1 and BANDIT 3 assault into NE Sector at OBJ-B and establish security on eastern buildings. Followed by entry of BANDIT 9 and BANDIT 2 at rear. BANDIT 3 moves to secure identified objective building while BANDIT 1 and BANDIT 2 clear buildings east. Assault continues with further planning conducted in field, Platoon line formation assaulting Westward with BANDIT 1, BANDIT 2, BANDIT 3 continuing in formation, north to south as platoon continues to Sector SE and Sector N. ALL CALLSIGNS Search for Intel and DESTROY any enemy installations before REGROUP. PHASE 4 and beyond, OBJ-C and OBJ-D Planning for latter objectives will require intelligence gathering on the ground. OBJ-C is only accessible by a bridge to the south of OBJ-B, as marked and OBJ-D also has a bridge - both may require clearing by NOMAD 4 prior to crossing. No vehicles in the platoon are amphibious with the exception of NOMAD 4.


Administration/Logistics

Resupply
Emergency resupply and LOGPAKs will be coordinated through BANDIT 8 and delivered by GROUND by NOMAD 4, BANDIT callsigns can be resupplied into their 3 Callsign Warrior IFVs from NOMAD 4 and ammo distributed from this point forward.

Medical
Medical support will be conducted using supporting elements NOMAD 4-1 the combat medical team and ambulance. (PAK in Ambo). The primary means of MEDEVAC is by GROUND conducted by NOMAD 4-1 and requested via BANDIT 8.

Rules of Engagement
CPERS should be turned over to BANDIT 9 for processing and evacuation.
