--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationOperatives in the field have located a quarantine zone in the region that is said to be a hotspot of military activity. We are to infiltrate the area, observe and gather intelligence related to the medical situation in the region, secure any HVTs that could provide useful, while making sure to cripple enemy infrastructure as means of diverting their attention and hiding the true nature of our tasking.
Friendly Forces
The friendly forces tasked with infiltrating the area are a MARSOC Marine Raider Regiment special operations team supported by 160th SOAR (A) rotary wing aircraft.
Supporting Assets
In the field, you will have no support due to the nature of the mission, however, exfil can be provided by 160th SOAR (A) in the event that sufficient enemy infrastructure is destroyed and their attention is occupied away from the extraction points.
Enemy Forces
The AO is secured by the forces under the Takistani Ministry of Internal affairs, made up of the Takistani Police teams, and military personnel reinforcing their presence in the area. The NE portion of the AO houses the barracks and motorpool of the Motorized Infantry platoon detachment tasked with securing the oil fields and the quarantine zone nearby by providing maneuver capabilities and firepower to keep the peace.
Mission
TaskingFollowing last night's mission by the CIA SSO team to locate the WMD shipment, we are deploying to the river delta in the southwest of the region. Infiltration will be done by sea. We are fully committing to breaching the inner perimeter of the quarantine zone in Al-Baayan to gauge the state of the quarantine, as well as locating and recovering any and all intelligence inside of the medical center related to the quarantine. To divert attention from our true nature of the mission, we are to enter and sabotage key oil production infrastructure north west of Al-Nozha. This will be done by using the on-site equipment and intelligence to overload the pipelines and retaining tank structures in an effort to clear us of any involvement with sabotage, in hopes of it being written of as an industrial accident or human error should the matter be investigated any further.
End-state
After the oil facility has been rigged to overload and achieve catastrophic failure and sufficient intelligence related to the medical situation in Al-Rayak has been recovered, you will be exfiltrated via rotary wing assets that are provided by the 160th SOAR (A) and briefed on base back in Takistani Regional Airport.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent of this mission is to infiltrate a medical facility west of Al Raayan in order to extract intelligence concerning a suspicious region-wide medical situation.
Tasks and Sequencing
NAI ALPHA - MAIN CONTROL POINT FOR TAI BRAVO TAI BRAVO - Main oil facility NAI CHARLIE - motorised garrison of the Takistani military NAI DELTA - Quarantined village TAI ECHO - Medical facility PHASE 0 HUNTER assembles on the grounds of Takistan Regional Airport with a full combat load. No logistical support is expected throughout this operations. PHASE 1 TYPE: MOVEMENT ROE: RED ORDER OF MARCH: HUNTER 1-1, HUNTER 1-0, HUNTER 1-2 ROUTE: SP HELIOS, WP1, WP2, WP3, LZ MERCURY. HUNTER follows waypoints to LZ MERCURY. At LZ Mercury, HUNTER grabs security until all troops have dismounted. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN ALL MEMBERS DISMOUNTED. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: NO CONTACT WITH OPFOR MADE. PHASE 2 TASK: INFILTRATION PURPOSE: INTELLIGENCE-GATHERING ROE: AMBER AO: NAI ALPHA HUNTER infiltrates NAI ALPHA, with approach from the east crossing a small bridge from the landfill, with the intent of intelligence gathering. Intelligence regarding TAI BRAVO is of priority highest priority. Although our operation must remain within stealth parameters, should an alarm sound off at NAI ALPHA, we will still continue the mission. Alarms here are common, and elicit little to no actual response from the workforce in the area. However, this does mean we should exfiltrate from NAI ALPHA as soon as METT-TC allows. HUNTERwill exfiltrate from NAI ALPHA by moving east back to the landfill. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN INTEL HAS BEEN GATHERED AND ALL ELEMENTS HAVE RETURNED TO LANDFILL AT LZ MERCURY. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: HUNTER's existence is still unknown to OPFOR. EXPECTED RESULT: HUNTER HAS GAINED KEY INFORMATION ABOUT TAI BRAVO. PHASE 3 TYPE: MOVEMENT ROE: RED ORDER OF MARCH: HUNTER 1-2, HUNTER 1-0, HUNTER 1-1 ROUTE: LZ MERCURY, WP4, WP5, WP6, WP7, WP8, WP9, AP VENUS (ALT: AP TELLUS) HUNTER follows waypoints to AP VENUS. Once at AP VENUS, evaluations are made with regards to the approach to TAI BRAVO. Should approach be deemed unsuitable, HUNTER will instead make their way to AP TELLUS. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN HUNTER has reached the assault point and a suitable approach to NAI BRAVO has been identified. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: NO CONTACT WITH OPFOR MADE. PHASE 4 TASK: INFILTRATION PURPOSE: DIVERSION ROE: AMBER AO: TAI BRAVO HUNTER approaches and infiltrates TAI BRAVO, using care not to engage military personnel in NAI CHARLIE. Any engagement must be cleared by leaders and deemed absolutely necessary for mission success. Specific target is the control systems of the oil facility. Upon finding this oil facility, HUNTER 1-0 will close the release valves and HUNTER will immediately EXFIL towards waypoint 10. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN HUNTER HAS EXFILTRATED FROM TAI BRAVO. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: RELEASE VALVES HAS BEEN CLOSED EXPECTED RESULT: Closing the release valves will overload the oil facility's pipe systems, resulting in a huge explosion after HUNTER has exfiltrated. This, due to the proximity to NAI CHARLIE, will detract attention from NAI DELTA AND TAI ECHO, with forces being drawn towards TAI BRAVO. AS SUCH, HUNTER WILL EXPERIENCE LESS POTENTIAL RESISTANCE FOR THE REMAINDER OF ITS MISSION. PHASE 5 TYPE: MOVEMENT ROE: RED ORDER OF MARCH: HUNTER 1-1, HUNTER 1-0, HUNTER 1-2 ROUTE: NAI BRAVO, WP10, WP11, WP12, WP13, WP14, WP15, WP16, AP MARS HUNTER moves promptly along waypoints 10-12, ensuring that they are across the river before TAI BRAVO is saturated by security. The water level in the river should be relatively low, allowing for relatively easy movement across. If this is not the case, intel suggests the area around waypoint 11 is a common place for locals to leave their boats overnight. We will appropriate some of these boats if the need arises. From WP12 onwards, HUNTER moves with ordinary pace, taking normal security measures and avoiding detection. Noteworthy observations with regards to NAI DELTA should be reported up the chain. If mission parameters require it, HUNTER might be tasked to enter NAI DELTA temporarily for intelligence-gathering. Special care should be made between WP16 and AP MARS. STAGE COMPLETE UPON REACHING AP MARS. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: NO CONTACT WITH OPFOR MADE. PHASE 6 TASK: INFILTRATION PURPOSE: INTELLIGENCE ROE: AMBER AO: TAI ECHO HUNTER infiltrates TAI ECHO, searching for intel concerning the medical situation. Once TAI ECHO has been searched, HUNTER makes preparations for EXFIL. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN HUNTER HAS FULLY SEARCHED TAI ECHO. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: INTELLIGENCE CONCERNING THE MEDICAL SITUATION HAS BEEN FOUND. EXPECTED RESULT: As per previous intelligence, we expect local diseases and quarantines to be related to the suspected chemical weapons that the Takistani regime is in possession of. This would explain security forces' heavy restrictions on medical aid and the denial of free movement in several areas of Takistan. It is therefore expected that HUNTER will find intelligence supporting this hypothesis, though any evidence to the contrary must also be reported. PHASE 7 TYPE: EXFILTRATION ROE: RED ORDER OF MARCH: HUNTER 1-2, HUNTER 1-0, HUNTER 1-1 PRIMARY ROUTE: WP17, LZ JUPITER ALTERNATE ROUTE: WP21, WP22, RP NEPTUNE Depending on METT-TC in general and OPFOR movements in particular, HUNTER makes a decision to go for primary or alternate exfiltration plan. Exfiltration will be made through airborne assets. Primary route takes HUNTER to LZ JUPITER through WP17. This is the preferred Exfiltration plan due to its rapid nature. Alternate route will take HUNTER further north towards RP NEPTUNE, and will necessarily take more time and effort. However, should HUNTER expect or face a quick reaction force for whatever reason, this will be the safest option. STAGE COMPLETE WHEN HUNTER HAS FULLY EXFILTRATED. REQUIREMENT FOR PHASE SUCCESS: ALL MEMBERS OF HUNTER SAFELY RETURN TO TAKISTAN REGIONAL AIRPORT.
