--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationThe commander responsible for the enemy unit south of COP Labela has reached out with an offer of surrender after being cut off with our capture of the main road towards Beketov yesterday. We have arranged to meet them and arrange final terms for them to lay down arms and hand over equipment.
Friendly Forces
B Platoon, A Coy, 1st Mechanised Battalion 'Sokolovi' consisting: BANDIT 9 1x HQ element with GAZ BANDIT 1 1x infantry squad BANDIT 2 1x Weapons Team 2x BTR80 attached to BANDIT 1 and BANDIT 2 BLACKBIRD 4 1x Supply Detachment
Supporting Assets
Friendly artillery is deployed to the north; their range covers the AO. Two weakened platoons of mechanised infantry of the 74th Mechanised Battalion in various small towns to the west. These are orienting primarily westwards in anticipation of a counter attack from Beketov, with a minor picket watching for an attempted breakout of OPFOR units in our AO. Infantry transport is available to the north for transfer of PoWs to secure facilities to the north and east.
Enemy Forces
Enemy is motorised infantry force. Strength unknown, morale evidently poor if surrender is being contemplated. Possible enemy forces further south, near the airfield, but unlikely to be able to reach north due to lack of good transport links. Some OPFOR may still be fleeing last engagement with 74th Mechanised Battalion to the west.
Mission
TaskingBANDIT is tasked with arranging the handover of weapons and materiƩl along with the transfer of enemy PoWs from Kliuchishi and Imeni Kommunoy to our rear areas. Avoid giving too much time, since that will let enemy troops attempt to escape to fight another day. Once negotiations are completed, BANDIT is to take defensive positions at Dorogino as the unit currently stationed there is moving west to defend against a reported counter-attack from the direction of Beketov and will only be able to leave a small force to warn of OPFOR movement.
End-state
Enemy force south of COP Labela has agreed to concrete terms for surrender and ceasefire as soon as possible. No violence done to potential PoWs. Positions taken up at Dorogino.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to secure the villages of Imeni Parizhskoy Kommuny and Kliuchisi (hereby referred to as objectives Whistler and Dreamer respectively). We will be meeting with a local enemy commander who has expressed a desire to surrender his forces over to us which should serve to make our mission far easier, should the meeting go as planned.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 Bandit platoon will form in COP Labela before stepping off in convoy Southward. Order will be 1,9,Blackbird,2. PHASE 1 The platoon will convoy to a field depot near Obj Whistler. This is a fair distance behind enemy lines, but we will be weapons red on the approach unless fired upon. Bandit 2 will hold North of the depot at the road with Blackbird. They will use this time to note enemy positions within view. Bandit 1 will accompany Bandit 9 to provide security for the meeting with the enemy commander. PHASE 2 Assuming the surrender goes well, we will proceed along the road through both objectives collecting and processing enemy prisoners into our custody as CPERs. If this is not the case, we will improvise a plan based on recconaissance gathered by Bandit 2 to assault first Obj Whistler, then Obj Dreamer. (After dealing with any situations that may arise from the meeting) Broadly speaking, this plan will have Bandit 2 providing long range fire support while Bandit 1 acts as an assault element. PHASE 3 We will reform convoy, travel West to Dorogino to take over the defence there, and await further tasking ENDEX
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyIn addition to standard logistical duties, Blackbird should bring a troop carrying truck in order to transport potentially large numbers of CPERs back to COP Labela.
