--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationBritish 7th Armoured Brigade sucesfully took Al Zubain Airbase and made progress securing the outskirts of Basra City. The enemy provided to be a formidable foe. "DOG" Platoon, altho heavily battered and outnumbered, have been reinforced and their casulties CASEVAC-ed back to the Airbase. The platoon is now looking to fully secure the outskirts of the town. The Challengers 2 of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards suffered damage and had to be retreated for repairs, but the troops can rest easy knowing that the vast majority of heavily armed assets (tanks) have been dealth with confirmed total destruction of 14 Iraqi T-55 and 4 Iraqi T-72 tanks.
Friendly Forces
7th Armoured Brigade: - 1x Rifle Platoon from the 1st Battalion, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Supported by the: 2 Logistic Support Regiment; - 1x Heavy Equipment Transporter - "Oshkosh"
Supporting Assets
There are no friendly forces operating in the imidiate AO.
Enemy Forces
Members of the Iraqi Armed forces, loyal to Saddam Hussein using outaded soviet equipment. - Possible use of light improvised vehincles. - Possible use of out-dated soviet APC/IFVs.

Execution
Commander's Intent_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of our mission is to secure the western outskirts of Al Basra in preparation for our attack on the city and destroy any enemy presence or resource, before endex in field. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Tasks and Sequencing
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ STARTEX (COMBAT): Upon startex dog platoon will prepare for enemy assault on RV-Bronze by holding defensive positions around the town. DOG 1 is to defend HP-1, DOG 2 HP-2 and DOG 3 HP-3. Meanwhile LIMA 4 is to prepare resupply of RV-Bronze and future platoon resupplies from their FOB in the north. Friendly artillery firing from our northern FOB will suppress the enemy in our vicinity temporarily to give us time to prepare for further attack. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHASE 1: Once RV-Bronze has been successfully secured and DOG platoon has been resupplied, the platoon will assault compounds along its movement plan accordingly. Compound C5 may require assault from two squads. The Platoon will then hold before PL1. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHASE 2: When cleared to pass PL1 Dog Platoon will continue along it's three movement paths to each squad's designated compounds. Compound C6 may also require support from an additional squad. The platoon will then hold before PL2 and resupply if required at RV Silver. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PHASE 3: When cleared to pass PL2 Dog Platoon will continue along it's three movement paths to each squad's designated compounds. Compound C10 and C11 may also require support from an additional squad. Compound C13 and C14 will be assaulted by two squads due to its size and complexity before DOG platoon assaults the final stronghold of C15. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ NOTES: - The terrain is extremely CQC with a lot of urban compounds and thick foliage so preparations should be made accordingly. - Specific callsigns have not been assigned to movement paths as it will be to commander discretion depending on situation. - LIMA 4 may be required to destroy walls to create entrances to certain compounds using explosives. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyPlatoon resupply will be provided by LIMA 4 from RV Bronze and RV Silver as needed.
Medical
We do not have any additional medical support. PAK in field.
Rules of Engagement
CPERS are to be handled appropriately and secured through LIMA 4.
