--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background Informationillyrian troops have their eyes set upon retaking the Polivano airbase. B Coy from the Vukovi Battalion are prepearing for an assault from the south. To inflict as much damage as posible before the attacking force reaches the airbase or to even completly stop it, a squad is deployed to conduct ambushes in the dense forest area. Afterwards the squad is to perform a hit and run attack on the staging area around Zhukovo.
Friendly Forces
"Baker" Squad from B Coy - Vukovi Battalion with an attached SUAV operator.
Enemy Forces
High possibility of mechanized infantry with IFV and APC support.
Mission
Tasking1: To ambush the advancing enemy forces and to either fully stop them in their tracks or to inflict as much damage as possible. 2: To perform a raid into the supposed staging area around Zhukovo.
End-state
In the event of both mission sucess or failiure, return to the friendly lines if possible or move to a defendable location and wait for evac.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this operation is to disable enemy offensive capabilities on the western front via two deliberate ambushes on a pending assault, and the raiding of a suspected nearby staging area.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: Preparation - ALL CALLSIGNS ensure adequate supplies on person to sustain operations without logistic support through phase 2B. -- Any additional support required for adequate load bearing is to be communicated to BAKER 1. BAKER 1 will assist with carrying ammunition for the automatic rifleman and mining equipment. Ammo Bearer should be prepared with 3x M15 AT Mines & 3x M112 Demolition Charges. Combat Engineer should be prepared with 1x M15 AT Mines, 4x M18A1 Claymores & M112 Charges. PHASE 1: INFIL - ALL CALLSIGNS mount transport vehicle and depart for marked dismount location. - Maintaining weapons red, BAKER 1-1 and BAKER 1-2 move to assigned sectors at Ambush Bronze. Actions on a compromised ambush: return fire and break contact towards RP-A. PHASE 2: AMBUSH BRONZE - BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 establish fortified positions on or nearby the assigned sectors. - Combat Engineer conducts explosive placement according to the scheme of engineer operations below. - SUAV Operator deploys UAV and provides timely warning of convoy arrival. - ALL CALLSIGNS wait for M112 Charge detonation to engage convoy, command provided by BAKER 1. - BAKER 1-1 prioritizes Medium AT assets on rear vehicle unless otherwise specified. - BAKER 1-2 prioritizes Light AT assets on front vehicle, if not disabled by charges, unless otherwise specified. -- A claymore will be positioned to the flank of either fireteam to support defense, detonation command provided by fireteam leaders. Actions on a compromised ambush: return fire and break contact towards RP-A. PHASE 3: Movement to Ambush Silver - BAKER 1-2 provides BOF over the road while BAKER 1-1 moves first towards RP-A. - ALL CALLSIGNS follow marked route or comparable to Ambush Silver, weapons red. PHASE 4: Ambush Silver - BAKER 1-1 & BAKER 1-2 establish fortified positions on or nearby the assigned sectors. Actions on a compromised ambush: return fire and break contact towards RP-D. PHASE 5: Movement to Objective Gold - BAKER 1-1 provides BOF over the road while BAKER 1-2 moves first towards RP-E. - ALL CALLSIGNS follow marked route or comparable to Objective Gold, weapons red. PHASE 6: Trenchline - Using available defilade to close distance, ALL CALLSIGNS move west towards Objective Gold. - First flanking the northern facing trenchline, BAKER 1-2 holds BOF while BAKER 1-1 makes the first move to assault the trenchline. -- BAKER 1 to screen the NW corner of Zhukovo via UGL smoke to further cover BAKER 1-1's advance. - ALL CALLSIGNS clear west through the trench line entirely before assaulting Zhukovo and any staging areas from the east. PHASE 7: Objective Gold - BAKER 1-1 clears north of the road in Zhukovo. - BAKER 1-2 scans the SE sector for any staging areas and clears south of the road in Zhukovo. - Fireteams must cross phase line alpha and phase line bravo in tandem. PHASE 8: Objective Gold Defense - ALL CALLSIGNS establish a southern 180 defense around Objective Gold while friendly forces move in to reinforce the town. - Further tasking on any targets of opportunity to the southwest will be provided by high command upon the reinforcement of objective gold. -- If required, resupply will be requisitioned alongside the friendly reinforcements, coordinated through BAKER 1. Scheme of Engineer Operations - Both Ambush Bronze and Ambush Silver will use three types of charges: M15 AT Mines, M18A1 Claymores, and M112 Charges. - M112 Charges will be spread throughout the kill box, more heavily weighted at the front to target the lead vehicle, our top priority. - M15 AT mines will be placed further outside of the kill box as our final line of defense to halt the convoy, should both M112 charges and light AT fail. -- 6x M15 AT mines will be carried by squad HQ in total, they will be allocated more heavily on the second, flanking ambush where we expect the highest density of armor. - 2x M18A1 Claymores will be allocated per ambush, one to cover the most likely flank of each fireteam. FTLs will issue detonation commands for their allocated charge as deemed necessary. -- Careful attention must be paid to ensure the arcs of placed claymores do not intersect other friendly forces. Ammo Bearer will work together with Combat Engineer during preparation to mark all placed explosives on the map. - BAKER 1 will issue the M112 Detonation command to Combat Engineer, which will serve as the sole initiation for both ambush Bronze and ambush Silver.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyLOGISTIC SUPPORT WILL BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL Objective Gold HAS BEEN CAPTURED AND a perimeter defense has been established. ALL CALLSIGNS will depart for ambush bronze with sufficient supplies to sustain the assigned operations. Any requirements for additional carrying capacity or load spreading should be coordinated through BAKER 1. BAKER 1 will assist with carrying ammunition for the automatic rifleman. Ammo Bearer will exclusively assist the Combat Engineer with carrying of mining supplies.
Medical
COMPLETE MEDICAL SUPPORT WILL BE CONDUCTED IN FIELD (PAK IN FIELD ON).
