Operation Deadlock (2022), Hornet's Nest

United Task Force
UNITAF Forces Sahrani
Lt Gen Chad P. Franks
MacDill Air Force Base Tampa, U.S.

Background Information
After a rich harvest in New Benio, our intel converges onto the main suspect on Lingor Island: Bremer Industries. We have been contacted by Kendrick Gilbert to meet him and his guerillas in Calamar in an effort to hit the cartel and Bremer Industries for proof of involvement in the regional conflict, alongside grabbing as much territory as we can from the cartel in the southwest portions of Lingor in an effort to lessen their reach for kidnappings, extortions and to regain trust of the local population after the fiasco we had in Vidora.

Friendly Forces
Kendrick Gilbert has asked us to assign Titan to this mission, due to their proficiency with heavy weapons platforms and known predisposition for violence of action, as was demonstrated in the southeastern region of Lingor, when we clashed with the cartel personnel at the former embassy and in the oilfields and resort towns. While we have no information on the nature of our deployment, he stated that the intention is to hit the cartel and the PMCs at the very heart of their operations in an effort to completely halt and disrupt their growth and strength in the region.

Supporting Assets
Knowing fully well that Calamar is in the hands of the guerillas, we should expect to have formidable numbers by our side as the guerillas have procured heavy weapons from both the cartel and the military, be it voluntarily or by force, alongside the 20 mortars we secured for them from the Sahrani Depot through the diplomatic and economic efforts of Major Solomon Maru.

Enemy Forces
Judging by the information we have at our disposal, the plan is to hit the PMC territory deep within Isla Avalon, to the north of the cartel territory in Drassen. The exact way this is intended is yet unclear, as Kendrick Gilbert has cited "operational security" and possible breach of communications amongst the reasons why he intends to brief us on the ground.

As such, Titan will be tasked with providing direct action and "shock and awe" tactics to overwhelm their targets, be it PMC or cartel personnel, in an effort to breach the research bases on Avalon and gather as much data and information as they possibly can regarding the true nature of Bremer Industries' involvement on this island and their ties to the cartel.

Any major damage and setbacks we can inflict on the cartel and PMCs can be considered a success, however, our main goal here is to obtain the sensitive and undoubtedly incriminating data located within the facility simply known as "Research Base Scarlett" just northeast of the village of Ramona on the island of Avalon.

Tasks and Sequencing
STAGING: All callsigns will perform final equipment and readiness checks and form up at RP-0 for briefing. Any non-present personnel shall be replaced with reservists. STAGE 1: Once the briefing has commenced, all Titan elements shall mount up inside the awaiting transport truck, crewed by local Guerrilla fighters who have volunteered their services for this operation. The Guerrilla fighters have disguised themselves as local Cartel members and shall be responsible for getting us to our destination without arising too much suspicion during our transit to the PMC site. Once we have reached our infiltration point, Titan callsigns will dismount and await for the signal from the Guerrillas to begin the raid. The Guerrillas are planning a large scale incursion into Cartel territory, with the main purpose of seizing ground and bringing an end to their operations within that region. Titan shall use this distraction to hit the PMCs and clear out the site, searching for any intelligence and incriminating evidence of their involvement and role with Bremer Industries. STAGE 2: After the PMC site has been cleared and we have gathered sufficient intelligence, Titan callsigns shall begin to exfiltrate from the area of operations, using any means necessary.

No dedicated logistical support will be available for this mission Team leaders are advised to bring plenty of reserve ammunition, and also have discretion for acquiring enemy equipment, should they run out supplies. However permission must first be granted by the field leader.

Primary casualty care will be the responsibility of each fireteam's combat medic. In the event of severe MASCAS, the most senior field leadership element should gather any and all wounded, and attempt to exfiltrate from the AO, using any means necessary.

Rules of Engagement
During initial infiltration, EMCON Red shall be observed in the following manner: Voice/Radio Communication - Red: Only team leaders are permitted to speak. Weapon Discharge - Red: Return fire to identified enemy combatants only. Illuminating Sources - Red: No visual lighting to be emitted. Should enemy prisoners of wars who have been deemed of high value be taken, Titan shall attempt to bring them along when exfiltrating from the AO. EPWs who are deemed to not be of high value, may be interrogated on site and left detained. Friendly Guerrilla forces and the local civilian populace will be present within the area of operations, so careful consideration of the rules of engagement, and management of the laws of armed conflict shall be observed at all times.
