--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationAs the world's eyes begin to shift towards the increasing tensions in Iraq, US forces initiate their plan to finally complete their capture of the Reshmaan province of Afghanistan, and relieve the ANA forces stationed in the region once and for all...
Friendly Forces
US Army Airborne platoon supported by CAS capable MH-60 Blackhawk.
Enemy Forces
Regional Taliban forces consist of much infantry supported by motorised troops and regular conventional and unconventional armour.
Mission
TaskingDelta Platoon is tasked with the capture and destruction of Taliban forces in the South Western region of Reshmaan.
End-state
The majority of Taliban forces in the region suppressed or destroyed.
Execution
Commander's IntentOur mission is to liberate Kallista through a swift air assault, rescue our captured pilots, and capitalise on momentum to extend into the mountains, eliminating enemy scout camps. We must prioritise self-sustainment and unit cohesion to maintain operational effectiveness. Our intent is to drive out enemy occupation from the sector, securing control over the region and dealing a decisive blow to enemy morale.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS will assemble and prepare for an air assault at Camp Halliwell. Delta platoon will embark on 3x UH-60 Blackhawk ESSS with full combat load. The flight led by Whiskey 5-1 aims to follow the planned route to behind enemy lines. PHASE 1 Delta platoon disembarks all Blackhawks at the designated landing zones: DELTA 1 at LZ ALPHA DELTA 2 and DELTA 9 at LZ CHARLIE DELTA 3 at LZ BRAVO It is the pilot's and designated crew chief's responsibility to decide between touchdown and fast-roping. The squads must immediately establish a foothold at the nearest compound and call up when ready. Swiftness of action is paramount. Immediately following successful landing, the squads conduct close quarters combat with best practices of MOUT. WHISKEY 5-1 establishes a battle position as briefed to assist with aerial overwatch and CAS. DELTA 1 clears anti-clockwise beginning in sector S3 through S4 and S5, going firm until all call signs are ready. DELTA 2 clears clockwise beginning in sector S1 through S8 and S7, finally along the road southwest-bound. Both DELTA 1 and DELTA 2 must be on stand-by to assist DELTA 3. DELTA 3 clears sector S2, then breaches and clears the mosque central to the AO. Intel and friendly POW must be secured as able before proceeding to sector S6. Final to Phase 1, all call signs clear the remainder of town and its perimeter. PHASE 2 ALL CALLSIGNS consolidate to cross Kallista Fields northwest and prepare an assault on OBJ BRAVO, a suspected hostile ammo depot. The assault will be an extended platoon envelopment from south and east/northeast as such: DELTA 2 follows waypoints A3-A and A3-B to prepare for AP UNIFORM. DELTA 1 and DELTA 3 follow waypoints A1 and A2 through Kallista Fields utilising cover as available to prepare for AP SIERRA or AP TANGO as suited. Following the capture of OBJ BRAVO, ALL CALLSIGNS consolidate for a check-in before moving on to Phase 3. PHASE 3 OBJ CHARLIE is a scattering of hostile scout camps in the mountains. The task is search & destroy. DELTA platoon will loosely form a line abreast to sweep the terrain, utilising cover and squad-wise bounding overwatch up to phase line 2-1. WHISKEY 5-1 will assist the search from the air, directing the infantry as able for PID. Hostile use of MANPADs is unknown. A stand-off BP is advisable. At PL2-1, Delta platoon establishes brief overwatch and conducts equipment and casualty checks. Barring sightings of camps to the far northwest of the sector, movement will pivot in a sweeping motion to the northeast towards OBJ DELTA for phase 4. PHASE 4 OBJ DELTA is an enemy-occupied town and the crossroads to the southwest of Reshmaan, therefore a crucial hub to capture and hold. WHISKEY 5-1 will assist from the air, guarding the northwest from hostile reinforcements from the FOB and suspected mechanised garrison at Asra. DELTA 1 and DELTA 3 prepare for AP VICTOR via WP C2. DELTA 2 prepares for AP WISCONSIN via WP C1, using it for overwatch during Delta 1 and Delta 3's crossing. PHASE 5 Time and resources permitting, OBJ ECHO will be assaulted in a methodical manner as briefed in the field.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyALL CALLSIGNS will cross the LD fully loaded according to unit SOP. These supplies will come from the staging area. This basic load is expected to sustain the team throughout the mission, without support. Emergency resupply will be coordinated through DELTA 7 and DELTA 8 and delivered by AIR by WHISKEY 5-1. However, barring an unexpected lull in manoeuvring, CAS and recon by air will be prioritised.
