--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationIn the time since we took Balota and the accompanying airfield from the Chernarus Nationalists, UEF teams have been working hard to lay the foundations of a permanent presence there. However, they are constantly harassed and raided by teams from nearby Nationalist-held Chernogorsk. UNITAF is requested to push into the city and neutralise military targets within so the UEF may set up Balota as a permanent base. We expect fierce resistance from the Nationalists and a near-fanatical defence of the city. The remaining Nationalists that have not fled or defected to one side or the other are among the most dangerous and indoctrinated. In the Nationalist FOB we recently captured, we uncovered intel detailing potential scorched earth defence plans and believe they may be put into effect during the defence of Chernogorsk.
Supporting Assets
UEF Teams are defending Balota airfield and will move to patrol Chernogorsk once it is cleared.
Enemy Forces
Nationalist forces are heavily entrenched, using armoured vehicles as bunkers and specialist troops well-versed in fighting in urban areas. UEF intelligence believes a helicopter maintenance camp exists somewhere to the North-East past Elektrozavodsk and may send reinforcements via air.
Mission
TaskingUNITAF will clear the city of Chernogorsk and associated satellite installations, including a communication hub to the North, an FOB to the North- East and a small village we believe to be holding Nationalist supplies to the North- East. Expect the city to be well-defended with entrenched positions and constructed defensive fortifications. The Nationalists will also likely employ dirty guerrilla tactics in a desperate attempt to push away UNITAF forces. Any civilians remaining in the city since the lockdown will be hiding in buildings. Since our goal is to liberate the civilians from the Nationalists and Chedaki, they are to be treated humanely and escorted out of the fighting if necessary. Primary Tasking - Remove Nationalist presence in and around the city of Chernogorsk; -Find and seize the Nationalist command centre -Seize and disable the communication relay to the North of Chernogorsk -Seize FOB Doblestnyy -Clear the village of Prigorodki. Secondary Tasking -Safely escort away any civilians caught in the open/ in dangerous areas -Capture the garrison commander alive for interrogation -Seize any usable assets and supplies possible to aid the UEF expansion into Chernarus.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose for this mission is to clear the town of Chernogorsk. off enemy presence to secure a larger foot hold in the area. The endstate would be to secure and hold the area in and around Chernogorsk.
