--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationAfter efforts moving further south have been successful we have intel that ISIS are starting to ramp up their resistance showing more aggressive tactics. With that said our next focus will be moving east towards Kalae Noowi. In our first step we are going to try and find how much resistance we are to expect by poking the hornets nest and trying to soften the defenses of Kandar by patrolling Kandar Valley.
Friendly Forces
1 Company with infantry platoon and cavalry support
Supporting Assets
Syrian National Army will be fighting Islamic State further south in the valley around Shoran.
Enemy Forces
We are to expect the worst from ISIS as we head towards their airfield expect dirty tactics and then trying anything to get repel us. Foot Soldiers Non-standardized technical vehicles improvised combat vehicles VBIEDs MBTs Attack Helicopters
Mission
TaskingThe unit must patrol further east and start softening the defences of Kandar Valley and Kandar Village. We don't expect to be in a state to take over Kandar Valley but soften the defenses within it and possibly start softening the front line of Kandar Valley in preparation for an full on assault towards the Airfield.
End-state
We do not expect to gain any ground in this mission but once the defences of the valley have been attacked and forces from the airfield begin to reinforce Kandar we need to start pulling our forces back for endex.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this deployment is to probe ISIS activity in Kundar Valley, in sync with SNA forces, UNITAF Command agrees to patrol directly into the hornets nest of Kundar Valley, a ISIS frontline on the main route to their northern Airfield. This deployments goal is to assess enemy presence and response to future assaults in aid of the recapture of the Syrian Airforce's northern base. We will thin out enemy positions, await any reaction force before breaking contact, and returning to our front line.
Tasks and Sequencing
Warlock Company will move on the main route from our outpost, to Kundar Valleys west ridge via a mounted convoy, callsign RANGER, Rifle Platoon will take the south ridge of Kunday, with BADGER, MRAP Section taking the main supply route, and WARLOCKs engineers clearing the route ahead. Meanwhile, our Weapons Team EASY, will watch for ISIS main forces on key routes from the eastern flank, in order to give us early warning of a large response, and equally to delay the enemy force. RANGER will thin out enemy caves, camps and positions in Kundar Valley, with the support from BADGER and EASY. Warlock Company will then return to base.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyLOGPAKs will be in convoy, and no RTB should be required for any of the TACSOP LOGPAKs during this deployment, all LOGPAK equipment should be in tow.
