Div., 28th Inf.Reg., 1st Btl., 3rd 'Stonewall' Company has been assigned, along with other friendly United States Army assets, to execute an incursion into hostile occupied Poland to secure key objectives relating to the war effort, with the ultimate goal to completely eliminate enemy resistance in the operational area as well as establishing multiple F.O.Bs to provide regional security.
Friendly Forces
United States Army Rangers Company -3x Rifle Platoon -1x Weapons Platoon Air Wing (From United States Army Assets) 1x AH-64C 4x UH-1H 1x CH-47F With additional and variable jet reconnaissance/CAS available as assets are free.
Supporting Assets
3. PzDiv, PzGren Reg. 2, 72. Bataillon, II. 'Stade' Kompanie may be available as an assisting force as their objectives are completed elsewhere in the area.
Enemy Forces
Soviet mechanized infantry brigades and their respective attached sections are expected to be in high numbers in the AO - fierce resistance is anticipated as the advance into enemy controlled territory is being accomplished. OPFOR aerial superiority is a given, with anti-air emplacements and both short and long-range radars being key targets to destroy.
Mission
TaskingOur mission is to deploy to the new area of operations, recon the SAF Stronghold and disarm, disrupt and deter the SAF forces from remaining in our territory. UNITAF will deploy from the 3V Tactical Operations Center, moving via a mounted convoy north on the MSR to the East Bay Checkpoint to rendezvous with a CDF Special Forces Section, the CDF section will join the UNITAF convoy, continuing to Nizhnoye, where a small patrol base is located, the Convoy will de-mount in a warehouse, to avoid the convoy being picked up by enemy reconnaissance.
Both detachments will move on foot through the woodland, the final kilometer towards the SAF frontline, where the recon and search and destroy phase will begin. The CDF want us to capture the stronghold, but we should expect the SAF to fight back hard once they hear of our presence.
- Primary locate and destroy SAF anti-air capability
- Primary capture SAF stronghold
- Secondary find missing CDF aircrew and CASEVAC them
- Secondary capture any enemy who surrender and send them to Krasnostav Airbase
Commanders Intent
The commanders intent is to accomplish the mission without friendly or civilian loss of life, or the loss of equipment.
Execution
Tasks and SequencingWe're going to do this with a full sized infantry platoon comprised of the following elements;
- Alpha Actual; Ground Combat Command with Fire Support and CDF Air Force Support
- Alpha 1; Base of Fire Element
- Alpha 2; Manevuer Element
- Alpha 3; Anti Armour / Anti Structure Element
Plan
The task-force will move via convoy to the deploy position, by foot for the final kilometer, upon sighting the objective, the task-force will entrench into it's position and prepare for a full assault on the objective, the plan will depend on the ground commander, as air recon images are not available. Once the anti-air capability has been located and disabled, CDF Air Forces will be able to support the ground forces with CAS and fast insertion of re-enforcements and supply.
