Situation
Background InformationAfter US Rangers fought tooth and nail to capture Kalae-Noowi and begun to settle news of ISIS movement further east has risen. ICOM Chatter leads coalition forces to believe a number of remaining enemy force cells having fled the city, setting up AA and mortar positions in the valley to the north east in an attempt to slow our efforts when deploying outside of the airfield.

Mission
TaskingMove east of Kalae Noowi and clear through enemy garrisoned towns keeping collateral and civilian casualties to a minimum. Intelligence has identified a suspected location of a warlord, known only as TARGET 13 on the outskirts of the village of Aferat, we have been ordered to capture any person(s) inside, following which - the compound should be searched for intel. Whist clearing, identify any mortar, cave or anti-air positions that are being set up and destroy them. Primary Objectives are
- OBJ-A Locate and destroy enemy camps
- OBJ-B Raid & search high value compound for person(s) and intel
- OBJ-C Capture ISIS stronghold
- OBJ-D Destroy Enemy AA Emplacement
- OBJ-E Locate and Collapse Cave Systems
End-state
Once the east sector is clear of enemy positions the mission will be in an endex state.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to clear 3 sectors to the north east of the now Syrian Army held city of Kalae Noowi. The commander's intent is to utilise the strong SNA front-line presence in the west in order to insert the company east of the AO, moving east to west - to provide the best chance of rapidly approaching the time pertenantance of OBJ-B. Objectives will be completed in succession with support provided by UAV and Rotary Flights for Fire Support, Transport, Logistics and Medical.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHANTOM Platoon will be inserted first by 2 UH-60 Blackhawks carrying the 1st and 2nd Squads, to their primary LZ. PHANTOM are tasked with the northern valley floor, OBJ-B, OBJ-C and OBJ-D. A 3rd UH-60 will drop their command element PHANTOM-9 off shortly after. On route, PHANTOM also is expected to encounter a minefield and roadblock set up by enemy forces. OUTLAW Platoon will be inserted second, by 2 UH-60 Blackhawks carrying the 1st and 2nd Squads, to their primary LZ. OUTLAW are tasked with the ridge and high ground to the south of the target, where a number of known and suspected Caves and Camps are located. Supporting PHANTOM from the high ground, OUTLAW will move through OBJ-A and OBJ-E, supporting on other objectives as required. Potential threats are suspected to the south, also. GUARDIAN Flight will complete 5 airlifts in the insert phase, followed by a number of vehicle movements, and then GUARDIAN 5-2 will perform ground suppression duties in accordance with FAC requirements, while GUARDIAN 5-3 continues to provide transport, logistics and medical taskings as required by the FAC.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyGround commanders should expect to cover 3-4km on foot, some of this movement will be over rough terrain and loadcarry should reflect this. LOGPAKs will be inserted by air at short notice by GUARDIAN callsigns.
Medical
The primary means of MEDEVAC is the field hospital at Kalae Noowi Airbase, GUARDIAN 5-3 will provide air-lift capability for battlefield casualties as required. Utilising Platoon Medics for Coordination.
Rules of Engagement
EPWs should be turned over to Platoon HQ elements for Coordination with Commander, for extraction and processing. EPWs should be unarmed and searched before being put in transports.

Close Air Support
Close Air Support will be provided by; GUARDIAN 5-2 (UH-60 EWS) for Ground Suppression WARLOCK 8 (REAPER UAV) for Precision Strike Coordinated through the Company Forward Air Controller.
