Background Information
The NATO nations have decided to strike back and free the island of Malden from CSAT occupation. NATO has deployed a Task Force; designated Polaris to Push CSAT off the island and use Malden as a base to strike at CSAT in the Mediterranean. Taking advantage of CSAT "feeling comfortable" NATO will perform an Dawn aerial assault on the lightly garrisoned south of the island with the intention of securing a beachhead. CSAT are expected to mobilized swiftly after with Forces being deployed from the northern airbase and nearby city of Le Port

Friendly Forces
1x Airborne Mechanized Infantry platoon 2x squads equipped with SUAV operator. 4x fire teams with Polaris vehicle transport 3x Blackfish Vehicle Transports 1x AH-99 Blackfoot Attack helicopter 1x Ghosthawk Helicopter (Logistics) 1x MQ-4A Greyhawk

Supporting Assets
Local police forces and governmental forces have been disbanded. Local population is likely to be friendly to NATO forces

Enemy Forces
The majority of CSAT forces are currently based at the north east airbase. it is surmised only a small Garrison of Infantry and Light vehicles are present in the southern areas. However the Base is likely to launch Helicopter support. Enemy also has SUAV capabilities.


The Unit is tasked with securing the three minor towns tot he south west of Malden creating a beachhead for NATO to push North. It is imperative that the unit avoids any damage to the local structures.

After capturing the three towns and fending off any reinforcements from Le-port.


Commander's Intent
Purpose of the mission is to get a foothold on the Island of Malden before CSAT are able to fortify it, set up an IDAP base a objective ORION to help the civilian population and take out the AA Instillation at objective Andromeda to clear up the airspace south of the Island for the logistics chain. Keeping civilian casualties & infrastructure damage to a minimum.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1 KING & ROOK will be airdropped into the AO at DZ Hercules via blackfish, after regrouping they will move to their respective OP and WP. Phase 2 Rook 1 to OP 1-1 Rook 2 to WP 1-2 Intend is to keep both squads parallel to each other while they move from north to south to clear objective ORION After objective ORION is clear, Checkmate will start setting up an IDAP base and LCP at the docks Phase 3 Rook 1 will move to OP 2-1 & Rook 2 will move to OP 2-2 to recon and asses entry into objective Andromeda were AA is expected. be advised AA has autocannon and missile capabilities It is unknown at the moment if the the red question marks (docks and small outpost) are occupied, ROOK 1 & 2 are expected to use their SUAVs to recon these areas for enemy presence. Phase 4 Movement after phase 3 will be decided in the field based on recon. Enemy QRF is expected to come during or after clearing objective Cassiopeia from the east, ROOK 1 & 2 will use BOF 1-1 & 1-2 to setup a crossfire to hold off the expected attack.


LOGPAK and MEDEVAC will be done by CHECKMATE via Air (Helicopter or VTOL). Because of airborne LOGPAK make sure you give ample notice as delivery might be delayed due to AA or other factors.

On masscas CHECKMATE can help medic at CCPs or MEDEVAC Pax out of the AO.
