Situation

Background Information
In order to secure an unsightly bulge in the enemy front line, Bundeswehr-embedded UNITAF forces amass a mechanised infantry force with supporting heavy armour to punch through the flanks of several layers of defences between themselves and an important Russian FOB which is supporting enemy efforts to slow our advance. Royal Marines infantry will conduct a diversionary attack toward frontal areas of the defences to attempt to throw the enemy off the scent of German armour pushing through the woodland.

Friendly Forces
Company consisting of: 1x infantry platoon 1x vehicle section consisting of - command vehicle (Luchs or Wiesel) - 2x LEOPARD 2A6 - 1x GEPARD

Supporting Assets
Royal Marines will be conducting an assault on the defensive lines to the West of our AO

Enemy Forces
Heavily entrenched enemy positions with MGs and AT emplacements, supported by mechanized infantry and heavy armour. Expected enemy air contact primarily in the form of rotary-wing.

Mission

Tasking
Simply, the primary objective of this mission is to secure the town of Pihlaja and the associated FOB. Royal Marines will conduct a diversionary assault on the Western flank of the defensive lines between your staging area and the FOB. Securing this town and FOB will allow us to link up our frontlines and allow for more co-operation between the fronts of different allied nations. Primary Tasking -Secure Pihlaja -Secure FOB Pihlaja Secondary Tasking -Clear the defences in and around the defensive lines South of the primary objective -Be on alert to assist Royal Marines with any issues in their AO -Secure intel and EPOWs throughout the AO

End-state
Teams will be able to ENDEX in FOB Pihlaja should they secure it this mission.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The intent for today is to secure the bulge that is left in the Russian frontline that is limiting our advance.

Tasks and Sequencing
Starting at Staging point Berlin: Phase 1: a) Wolf & Vixen will move to Dismount point "Anton" in a convoy. b) Passing Phase Line 0, Wolf will dismount and move along its designated routes and clear any buildings along the way. c) Wolf will then move to attack the fortified checkpoint. Phase 2: a) All callsigns will be allowed to cross PL 1. b) Depending on defences spotted. Wolf 1 & 2 will move to clear defences in the area with vixen in support. c) Vixen will clear any emplacement's and armour as it appears. Phase 3: a) All callsigns will be allowed to cross PL 2. b) The assault on FOB Pihlaja will be carried out by Wolf 1 & 2 with Vixen securing the area around the FOB. Plans may be adjusted depending on what is seen on the ground. c) When FOB Pihlaja is secure. Wolf & Vixen will move to the occupied town and clear the area.
