Situation
Background InformationThe KDF Headquarters have asked the US to assist in the recapture of a prior KDF outpost in Nahlaya, this outpost was a key in the policing of 3 main supply routes to the south. We're tasked with a combat patrol through Salquin Valley to clear out rebels and rebel sympathizers, gather intelligence and confiscate weapons caches - once completed we'll hand over control of the Outpost to the KDF in order for them to resume policing of this sector.

Mission
TaskingThe Unit is tasked with patrolling the Western MSR out of Incirkli, clearing out the presumed Resistance-held towns along the route. In addition, Air Surveillance shows the forming of Resistance Camps in the adjacent mountainsides.
End-state
- MISSION SUCCESS if the Towns and roads along the MSR have been cleared - ENDEX at Nahlhaya
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to clear the route to Salquin Valley and to recapture Nahlhaya KDF Outpost. We'll need to drive out resistance fighters from towns along the MSR, remove weapons from the local area and use our air power to locate and destroy any camps, furthermore we must avoid the loss of civilian life and the destruction of property at all costs, if we are to hold this valley and succeed in our mission. Once achieved, we'll set up our Garrison in Nahlhaya KDF Outpost - ready to hand control back to them in the coming weeks.
Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 0 Entry A convoy will depart FOB Cerulean, in the order of - Mike 3 and Mike 3-1 (with Delta 1 spreadloaded) - MRAPS - Mike 3-2 (with Delta 2) - Truck - Delta 9, in Command MRAP Escorted by Whiskey 5-1 and 5-2. Drive 7kms west to the disembark point. DELTA approachs last 1kms to Taizza on foot, with DELTA 1 taking south and DELTA 2 north, callsigns will engage suspected resistance groups, and are permitted to enter structures that are suspected to be rebel aligned, in order to detain or secure weapons caches. MIKE callsigns will support a respective DELTA callsigns and WHISKEY callsigns will provide observation and engage targets outside of built up areas, under the direction of the Platoons Forward Air Controller. Phase 1 - South Moving south to Salquin, the enemy are expected to have either fled or garrisoned, expecting our presence. Be cautious of ambush and the use of IED or rockets. We'll sweep with DELTA 1 focusing on the eastern sectors and DELTA 2 on the west as marked. Ensure covering sectors while patrolling through built up areas. Otherwise, the movement and support of other callsigns, matches the previous phase. Phase 2 - Outpost Before exiting Phase 1, elements will overwatch the outpost before making a plan, continuing roughly as in Phase 1, to encircle and capture the outpost. At this stage the enemy is expected to have retreated to re-organise, and only light resistance is to be anticipated.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyResupply will be conducted by air through the PltFAC via the Whiskey 5-2 flight.
Medical
The primary means of MEDEVAC will be ground based ambulance of MIKE 3-2, secondary will be airlift via Whiskey 5-2. CCPs will be created and updated by MIKE 3-2.
Rules of Engagement
EPWs should be handed off to DELTA 9 at the earliest.

Close air support, provided by Whiskey 5-1 is pre-authorised in the Yellow Sectors as marked, and infantry should not enter these zones without authorisation - however the Plt FAC will give the authorisation to fire on behalf of the Platoon Commander.
