| Summary | Remove MOUT Skills |
| Type of Request | Removal of existing doctrine (revocation) |
| Current Reference | https://unitedtaskforce.net/handbook/group/107/military-operations-in-urban-terrain-mout |
| Proposed Change | Remove skills attached to the group. |
| Justification | The skills are seldom or never used in actual operation since they have been introduced, although early days can be "excused" due to not everyone being aware of the skills. Operational Leadership has mainly preferred to use bounding or other maneuvers when traversing urban terrain as the described street maneuvers only fit for medium-low threats environments and only observed in the absence of contact. |
| Impact on Existing Doctrine | Will be more reliance on already existing skills that are already existing : FM/BS-661 - Maintain situational awareness FM/BS-341 - Cover a sector FM/BS-339 - Maintain effective spacing FM/BS-662 - Follow orders |
| Unit Impact Assessment | Low to no impact expected as this skill is covered in intake and attached to Rifleman and Advanced Infantry Specialisation |
| Implementation Considerations | Sad that Core Infantry TT spent all this time training a skill that never gets used |
| Urgency | Low |
| I confirm that I have read and understood The UNITAF Way, its guiding principles, and the established process for interpreting, applying, and changing doctrine (as contained in FM/C41, FM/G170, FM/G171) | Yes |

Needs converted to role card change
Converted
Agree on problem. Disagree on solution. PReferred CI method is that it starts getting enforced through observations when instructor input is live as per pretty much any other example of disregarding of skills. Starts with CL observations on not using the techniques they should know and use as infantry and go from there.
