| Summary | LGM Access and Progression |
| Type of Request | New doctrine (addition) |
| Proposed Change | MST TT Requests the following policy for LGM Access and Progression: - LGM 15: 20 SP of Experience as GM - LGM 32: 20 SP as LGM 15 AND 3 supervised deployments once Direct Acccess achieved - LGM 64: 30 SP as LGM 15 and 10 SP as LGM 32 AND 3 supervised deployments once Direct Acccess achieved |
| Justification | The current system is not clearly published and not linked to the FTS3 system. This would formalize and clarify the progression. |
| Impact on Existing Doctrine | Currently, there is no written doctrine for LGM progression, so this is simply formalizing the process |
| Unit Impact Assessment | While some members may 'lose access' to a LGM size they had previously been 'signed off on', these cases should be rare and MST TT will work with any such individuals to ensure no one loses access. |
| Implementation Considerations | Will need to be posted to ensure progression is clear; implemented ASAP; no grace period, but as mentioned, any outliers will be handled by MST TT to ensure grandfathering. |
| Urgency | Normal |
| I confirm that I have read and understood The UNITAF Way, its guiding principles, and the established process for interpreting, applying, and changing doctrine (as contained in FM/C41, FM/G170, FM/G171) | Yes |

This has been completed in that the blocks are created and in place. I have no way of enforcing supervision to my knowledge however.
Proposing a more streamlined observation path;
- 2x on LGM 15 level unless the person struggles and or needs more guidance.
- 1x on LGM 32/64 level unless the person struggles and or needs more guidance.
- if the person has prior GM experience i propose only 1 supervision per level.
NOTE: As per policy, the minimum ORBAT size for Platoon is 26 (MST excluded), this will be also the minimum orbat size for supervised deployment for LGM 32. If a supervised deployment is below that number due to vacancy rates, it will be looked at on case by case basis.

This links to FL onboarding as well. and needs to be similar.
- We MUST ensure that the system does most of the work. Players should be able to progress by slotting and playing, and receiving instructor input to speed/slow their progression based on observed skill.
- I am keen to ensure that we DO NOT involve too much gatekeeping like observations/approvals that stifle progression
- I am aware that there will need to be some level of sign off
Eseentially, I much prefer that the sytem progresses people with both SP and feedback, and J3/TC//J7/MS-TT operate to support this by request rather than acting as a gate someone must cross.
e.g. I think that a player should be able to progress from AGM -> LGM64 with no input -needed-. But that during this time, MST-TT should be observing and using the system to input, and J3 should be providing them with options and opportunities, such as adding them to campaigns, linking them with established GMs etc.

This whole thing is to streamline the process and to remove any sort of "favoritism" that is being spread around like the plague. This is also why, having one of the major requirements as "X amount of hours as GM" is the most fair in the eyes of the MST TT.
There will be supervision and signs offs, similar to what we always had for Field Leadership, if TC things this is unnecessary, then by all means you have the right to veto it.

@stormaple I spoke with Kerry, the supervision thing will need roadmapped as an enhancement as I cannot help with that. If you want to go ahead with the SP change we will need to get this ticket changed to role card update. It will likely need new blocks as well though as there isn't one for Experience as X.
Yeah can we get it switched to role card and then at least the SP will be right and just pending supervision
