--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationA PACR aircraft has reportedly been shot down by MANPAD about an hour ago inside CRRM-controlled territory. KSK troops are mobilised for S&R operations in hostile territory to attempt to locate and capture any surviving crew and recover the flight recorder. In addition, an attempt to locate and neutralise the firing positions of the AA weapons used should be made to allow safe airborne operations in the area.
Friendly Forces
German KSK [1x] Special Forces Group [1x] Scout Sniper Pair
Enemy Forces
CRRM are an irregular force using guerrilla tactics. Force concentrations are unknown but expected low outside the immediate objective area.
Mission
Tasking1) Discover and recover the crashed PACR helicopter crew and its flight recorder. 2) Find, then sabotage or destroy the anti-aircraft sites responsible for the shoot-down.
End-state
After recovering the crew and flight recorder, exfil will be called dependent upon the success of the secondary objective. If successful, a helicopter can be called in or commandeered. If unsuccessful, primary means of exfil will be commandeered boats. Secondary means of exfil will be on foot towards friendly territory. ENDEX at base.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe operational intent is to gather intel as to the nature of the PACR helicopter's mission as well as securing the frontline airspace for friendly air operations. Leaders and operators alike must be flexible in their decision-making.
Tasks and Sequencing
See the attached operations map centred around Lely Flats, grid 0511. Staging Knight and Bishop prepare to depart from Safehouse Ganymede via helicopter. Elements must bring operational sustainment but remain mobile. Insertion Elements will insert at either primary or secondary LZ short of the no-fly area suspected enforced by ground AA. From WP 1, elements will observe the area for first signs of the crash and an appropriate route towards, either via WP series #A or #B, towards the first suspected AA position. If correct, clear position quietly. Plant demolition charges or otherwise permanently sabotage. Crash Site From the above, establish short overwatch to determine position and route towards the crash site. Maintain stealth to quietly advance on the site. Recover the flight recorder or crew or otherwise determine their whereabouts. Maintain initiative and momentum outside of pre-determined schemes.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyAll elements will deploy with personal sustainment and are expected to share supplies to keep weight within mobility limits.
