--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationDuring NATO's major offensives through the Soviet front line, a pocket of enemy troops has been left behind in order to disrupt our logistical and support chains. However, due to our successes further east, they are now severely isolated and vulnerable to attack. A British infantry platoon deploying from Camp Carpenter has been tasked with flushing out any remaining enemy forces within this AO, whilst attempting to deter any further damage to our rear assets.
Friendly Forces
- [1x] Engineer Platoon
Supporting Assets
Our platoon is well within friendly lines so support is available if needed.
Enemy Forces
The enemy in this AO are now poorly supplied and cut off from any support, however they will be dug in deep. They may also have leftover APCs/IFVs. CPERS are also likely due to their poor situation.
Mission
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to ATTACK the pocket, prevent demolition of usable bridges and DESTROY/CAPTURE any remaining OPFOR forces
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 SIERRA 9 will begin in the staging area and move out to CAPTURE the town of Heitbrack. PHASE 1 In SECTOR-1 SIERRA 9 will ASSAULT Heitbrack, and recapture BRIDGE A before the enemy can destroy it. TANGO 4 will DETONATE any enemy emplacements and defences preventing use of the bridge. PHASE 2 SIERRA 9 will break out into three lanes of division, one squad per lane, running SIERRA 1, SIERRA 2, SIERRA 3 from West to East. Each squad will move South, clearing their lane of the Sector of enemy camps and hideouts. The enemy are likely to be dug in and fortified with whatever trenches and wooden structures they were able to build during their occupation of this area. Each squad will notify SIERRA 8 of any enemy caches so that TANGO 4 can DETONATE them. Each squad will abide by sector markings and lanes of fire, to ensure there is no blue-on-blue or over extension of the squad. In SECTOR-4, there is a stationary OPFOR train that was caught out by our encirclement. Squads should capture this train, and again, radio for TANGO 4 to detonate. PHASE 3 Having cleared the woods of OPFOR, SIERRA 9 will ASSAULT the OPFOR outpost in the town of RIPDORF and confirm capture of BRIDGE B. SIERRA 1 and SIERRA 2 will create a BOF to allow SIERRA 3 to ASSAULT from their AP-1. If required SIERRA 2 will move to support the assault. Again TANGO 4 will destroy any caches and defences. ENDEX

Signal - Red: enemy position - Orange: friendly vehicle requiring support - Purple: friendly MASCAS - Blue: friendly position - White: concealment Throughout the operation a pair of NATO journalists, MIKE, will be conducting filming and interviews for their news report. ALL CALLSIGNS are expected to protect these journalists at all costs and support their endeavors. OPFOR are expected to be using AT mines, but we suspect they have a low level of AP mines as well. Any sightings of mines are to be marked and called up to SIERRA 8 so that TANGO 4 can deal with these as required.
