--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationRemnants from a Royal Marine reconnaissance platoon prepares to bug out back through their entrenched positions after being cut off from the main friendly force during an enemy counterattack on the northern front...
Friendly Forces
Our forces are comprised of remnants from a full Royal Marine platoon that was equipped with GPMGs, explosives and combat medics.
Supporting Assets
The remainder of the our platoon awaits our return to friendly lines, however they are still repelling the ongoing Soviet counterattack.
Enemy Forces
The enemy consists predominantly of infantry supported by APCs and IFVs, however their vehicles will struggle to engage us at night and in wooded areas. Whilst their main goal is assaulting the rest of our platoon, they are likely to engage us directly if able in attempt to prevent us from successfully withdrawing to the main friendly force.
Mission
Tasking1) Assault the village of Stutensen in order to eliminate any potential HVTs whilst gathering intelligence and destroying supply. 2) Withdraw towards friendly forces utilizing prebuilt entrenched positions for defense and resupply. 3) Hold and defend the town of Probien.
End-state
1) Enemy outpost destroyed at Stutensen. 2) Friendly forces withdrawn to Probien. 3) Probien successfully held.
Execution
Commander's IntentTo weaken and disrupt the enemy counter-attack towards Schwenlitz and Camp Butcher from the South-East. As well as successfully consolidate all remaining members of the Royal Marine reconnaissance platoon back into friendly territory at RV-5 in Probein.
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0/BRIEFING ALL CALLSIGNS will finalise their equipment checks for the mission and then assemble for the field leader's briefing at RV-0. PHASE 1 BAKER 1 ELEMENTS will proceed East from RV-0 towards the town of STUTENSEN where they will sweep through and clear out the enemy presence there. During our reconnaissance patrols, Soviet Spetnaz units were spotted occuping and fortifing a number of civilian structures inside the town, and will likely plan on using them as combat outposts so that they may conduct further operations within the region. It is important that we remove this threat before we bug out to Probien, as if left unchecked, The Spetnaz forces will have free reign to wreak havoc and disrupt our operations in the North. Additionally, any intelligence we can gather from their outposts during this phase will also be vital. Each Baker 1 element will be assigned areas to clear inside Stutensen, while Baker 2 covers our egress route through the Northern forest. The assault on Stutensen will be conducted as follows;
BAKER 1-1 will clear sectors A1-A2-A3 in numerical order, upon completion, they will cover the Southern MSR running through Stutensen.
BAKER 1-2 will clear out sectors B1-B2-B3 in numerical order, upon completion, they will cover the Eastern road into Stutensen.
BAKER 1-3 will clear out sectors C1-C2-C3 in numerical order, upon completion, they will cover the Northern MSR running through Stutensen.
Once all Baker 1 elements have finished clearing their sectors, Baker 1 will consolidate on the Northern side of town.
PHASE 2
After regrouping to the North of Stutensen, Baker 2 will begin their fallback towards Probien. All Baker 1 elements will then egress North through the woodland towards RV-1, where upon reaching the position, will then form a triangular harbour utilising the pre-constructed fighting positions.
While the Baker 1 elements setup in the harbour, the attached combat engineer will place claymore charges controlled via. command wire covering the South-West through to South-East fire sectors.
From there on, the main task is to delay and disrupt any infantry advances towards Schwenlitz from the South-East. The terrain leading to Schwenlitz has heavy vegetation and many natural obstructions, so enemy vehicles will be unlikely to traverse the terrain to support their infantry.
Baker 1 will use this advantage to isolate and attack enemy formations moving through the forest by surprise at each of the designated RV points, utilising the same defensive setup as RV-1 for each harbour.
The call to bug out to the next RV will be at the field leader's discretion, or when contact with the enemy becomes overwhelming. Expect our movement between RV points to be very dynamic as we may encounter enemy patrols and/or obstacles.
PHASE 3
Upon reaching RV-5, we will link up with Baker 2 and Anvil 1 from Arnhem company to defend the village of Probien so that we may deny the enemy the Eastern flank of Schwenlitz.
The defensive posture of Baker 1 will be the following;
BAKER 1-1 will cover the Southern MSR into Probien.
BAKER 1-2 will cover the South-East approach through the woodland.
BAKER 1-3 will cover the Eastern road into Probien.
Mechanized support from Arnhem company, callsign "Anvil 1" will be on-hand to help support our defence and will deal with any heavier assets that we may encounter, both Baker sections will have the responsibility of dealing with enemy infantry and anti-tank teams.
Once the enemy counter-attack is defeated, ALL CALLSIGNS will regroup at the center of Probien for debriefing.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyAmmo conservation throughout the mission will be paramount, the fighting positions assembled for BAKER 1 at RV-1 through 5 will have a single combat load worth of resupply available, however it will be limited and should be shared equally among each element.

For the duration of the bug out in phase 2, there will be a section-wide radio silence in effect to prevent enemy signal units from tracking us through the forests. General noise and light discipline shall also be observed. When overt contact is made with the enemy, noise and light discipline as well as radio silence will be lifted for the duration of the contact, and reinstated again once cleared or instructed otherwise by the field leader. Each harbour at the RVs will have tripwire flares placed in the enemy direction to alert us of their presence if they come within close proximity to the harbour.
