--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationThe Chedaki are on the backfoot after the destruction of their final airstrip in Krasnostav and the successful US Army siege of Elektrozavodsk, their southern stronghold. The most recent intelligence reports have noted an increased fortification effort in the north on account of a compromised southern line, and an expedited effort to establish a Heliport outside of Severograd to regain air capabilities. A US Army Ranger mechanized platoon is tasked with breaching the Severograd fortifications, capturing the developing heliport, and liberating the city.
Friendly Forces
1x US Army Ranger Mechanized Platoon 3x M1126 Strykers armed with M2 HMGs 1x Recon Sniper Team armed with M2010 ESR 1x F/A-18D Hornet multirole aircraft
Supporting Assets
The Estonian Armed Forces have been tasked with fortifying and reinforcing Elektrozavodsk and will not be accompanying the US Army Rangers on this operation.
Enemy Forces
The Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star (ChDKZ) forces are a state-backed paramilitary and as such, have access to a modern array of Russian equipment. The destruction of their final airstrip in Krasnostav has seen the elimination of all remaining fixed wing air assets. In response, ChDKZ forces have prioritized construction of a heliport outside of Severograd, bringing their rotary assets back online and in high density in the AO. As the number of ChDKZ strongholds diminishes on the southern front, we have seen a consolidation of armor on the northern front. We are expecting an increased presence of enemy armor in Severograd.
Mission
Tasking1) Breaching the Severograd fortifications and clearing ChDKZ presence in the city 2) Capturing armor staging and repair infrastructure within Severograd 3) Securing the developing heliport without sustaining structural compromise 4) Eliminating all ChDKZ contact received on the peripheries of the AO
End-state
After the successful capture of Severograd, its armor facilities and heliport, establish perimeter security in Svergino to begin preparations for a frontal assault on their final stronghold, Novodmitrovsk.
Execution
Commander's IntentTHE PURPOSE OF THIS MISSION IS TO MOVE INTO SEVEROGRAD AND NEUTRALIZE THE HOSTILES FORTIFIED INSIDE THE CITY WITH THE END GOAL OF SETTING UP A BLOCKADE AT THE WESTERN SIDE OF NOVODMITROVSK.
Tasks and Sequencing
HITMAN Platoon will conduct an assault on Severograd moving in from the West side of the city. The Severograd AO is split in the middle along the MSR with HITMAN 1 tasked with clearing the North side whilst HITMAN 2 clears parallel on the South side. After passing PL 3, HITMAN 1 is to move into the Zarya Quarry on the North East end of Severograd and clear it. It is currently built up as an armor staging area which we want to capture and utilize afterwards. At the same time, Hitman 2 will conduct a blockade just past the quarry stopping any potential enemy force that might push us from the heliport further North East. Passing PL 4, HITMAN will move to clear out the Heliport objective with the ended outcome of setting up a blockade just East of the last objective overlooking towards the next city to the EAST. HITMAN 3 is tasked with reconning the mountains to the South West of Severograd. There have been past reports of small patrols moving about the hillsides. The South Western hilltops will serve as a good vantage point for the initial push into Severograd. Throughout this mission we are assisted by a F/A-18D which will provide us with CAS when required.
