Situation

Background Information
One of the pilots from the downed aircraft has revealed that Lazo Rubia, a lynchpin in the arms smuggling ring in the Cape Rassa area, has been making somewhat regular trips to the Orion area in connection with a special project for the PACR. One such trip is scheduled to happen in the next day or two. A KSK team will infiltrate the heavily-defended island and attempt to capture them while denying access to whatever they have been supplying.

Friendly Forces
3 x SF Teams plus command element 1 x Marksman Element for Overwatch 2 x Helicopters for insert are available for possible extract if secure location can be found.

Supporting Assets
None, but friendly-controlled territory is not far to the west of the AO.

Enemy Forces
Enemy forces are well-equipped, but recent setbacks have limited troop numbers in the area. Armed light vehicles are expected, especially for QRF from outside the immediate AO, but some may be present on the island. It is unclear what the special weapon is, but given recent experiments with biological weapons, it is possible that this is a continuation of that.

Primary: Capture Lazo Rubia Secondary: Destroy whatever he is supplying to prevent its use by the PACR

End-state
All operatives back in friendly territory (either Base Ganymede or Base Europa is ideal, but government-controlled will suffice) with Lazo Rubia in our hands and the special weapons he is supplying rendered unusable by PACR forces.


Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to gather decisive intel as to the PACR shipments and biological warfare capabilities by any means necessary determined in the field.

Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0: INSERTION (MIDNIGHT) Knight elements and Bishop prepare to depart from Safehouse Europa via helicopter under cover of night. All elements depart for the LZ southeast of the AO and orientate NW. T+0 minutes. The water crossing is overwatched by a ruined guard tower. Operations are conducted around the time of known guard shifts and no presence is expected. BISHOP provides overwatch until KNIGHT is across, then crosses. T+15 minutes. PHASE 1: HIDE SETUP KNIGHT 9, KNIGHT 3 and BISHOP conduct initial scouting of the airfield from OP S1 for orientation. All points of interest (POI) and hostile sightings must be documented. KNIGHT 1 and 2 secure the hide to SSW of the OP and harbour until initial intel is gathered. T+30 minutes. PHASE 2: INFILTRATION (SUNRISE) BISHOP re-establishes around OP S1 with freedom of positioning to overwatch the airfield. Rubia is suspected to arrive at sunrise. KNIGHT 3 prepares to infiltrate using prepared sightings and guidance through BISHOP. Find and sabotage Rubia's plane to prevent escape. Find intel and further points of sabotage secondarily. STEALTH IS PARAMOUNT. To be spotted escalates mission failure. Rubia is suspected to depart the airfield by car. KNIGHT 9, 1 and 2 move westwards towards Orion Industrial to prepare an ambush at Point Ruby. The overwatching guard tower is liable to be neutralised stealthily. T+60 minutes PHASE 3: ESCALATION Actions at this point result from developments regarding Rubia. Following their sabotage, KNIGHT 3 move west to regroup with KNIGHT remainder. Find transportation to exfil from the island, such as at Point Alpha. BISHOP selects an OP to overwatch Orion Industrial from the east. If Rubia offers intel about presently actionable weapon locations and we remain uncompromised, all elements commit to recover or destroy it with covert setup, possibly as such: Rubia is placed in custody with Bishop. Knight 2 and 9 place Claymore charges to cover the rear from reinforcements, then breach the target compound from the east. Knight 1 aims to provide overwatch from the north and envelop as necessary. Breaking contact follows a northern vector through OP L4. If Rubia offers immediately actionable intel, but we are compromised, all elements orientate towards the target compound from their current stance. Reinforcements are expected from the barracks east of Orion and the airfield. PHASE 4: EXFILTRATION This phase is called as determined by Knight 9 or Checkmate irrespective of Rubia or actionable intel. Exfiltration aims to commandeer vehicles to bug out northwest via the bridge past Point Alpha.


Administration/Logistics

Resupply
All elements depart fully supplied for operations deep inside hostile territory with emphasis on stealth and swiftness of execution. Resupplies are not available. All personnel must be equipped with an emergency NBC mask as provided.
