Situation

Background Information
2 US Rangers "fell" from a damaged UH-60 Blackhawk during the exfil from Superior Ridge. Initial communication suggests both were wounded with one unconcious. The last transmittion we recieved was that IS forces were closing on their position and they had to retreat North. Search and Rescue teams are dispatched to recover the missing rangers.

Mission

Tasking
2 US Rangers from Romeo Platoon, PFC Gendalorf and SP2 Taru, are missing in action following a daring extract from Superior Ridge. Both are wounded with PFC Gendalorf being reportedly unconscious at last communication. Their last communication indicated they were under fire and were retreating North into the Valley. Small villages in Superior Valley are likely fall back points so they should be searched, though it is unknown if the locals are sympathetic to IS or not. The Valley is also known to have some cave systems so they will also need searched. Since their fall back we have had no communication from either Ranger. As such, we are operating on the belief their radio equipment has been captured by the enemy, we cannot use their main or emergency frequencies on the ground to contact them. Their overall status is unknown, they may be captured, dead or on the run. PID is extremely important, both Rangers were low on supplies having just taken part in the Stronghold assault and as such they may be using non-standard weaponry.

End-state
Mission Success; PFC Gendalorf and SP2 Taru recovered alive. If they are already dead, we must recover their bodies. Mission Failure; Either Ranger captured.

Tasks and Sequencing
Classic search and rescue operation, two grunts had the bright idea of what was reported as "falling" out of their exfil helicopter when the tail rotor packed up in hostile terrain. Their current whereabouts is unknown but we have ID'd some population centers nearby which could hold some clues. Intent is to find the location of the incident investigate that area then continue onto other possible routes of movement. Plan will be altered on the fly depending on what we find.
