Tasks and Sequencing
Note: execution design is liable to change substantially according to reconnaissance in phase 3. PHASE 0: Preparation (daytime) - ALL CALLSIGNS ensure adequate supplies on person to sustain operations without external logistic support. -- Special considerations are detailed in Administration/Logistics OPORD section. -ALL CALLSIGNS to be outfitted with night vision and suppressors. -- Gas masks and atropine will be issued for contingent protection from chemical agents. PHASE 1: Insertion (daytime) - ALL CALLSIGNS will mount in Coyotes and depart for RP-C.
PHASE 2: Area Security (daytime)
- ALL CALLSIGNS ensure Recovery Staging is secured for friendly asset movement.
-- Trailing contact is expected on account of the recent territory acquisition alongside difficult terrain features.
PHASE 3: Reconnaissance (daytime)
- ALL CALLSIGNS scan southern AO for OPFOR movement, helicopter debris, and/or sight of the downed pilots.
-- Friendly assets on standby to assist with extraction will move to AO during this time.
Note: ALL CALLSIGNS will modify infiltration and extraction plans according to enemy force concentrations and suspected BLUFOR locations.
PHASE 4: Infil (night time)
- ALL CALLSIGNS stage at RP-D, and proceed through RP-F, maintaining stealth.
Weapons Red: Delay of QRF is critical.
PHASE 5: Hostage Rescue (night time)
- ALL CALLSIGNS clear sectors thoroughly, conducting detailed search for traces of friendly pilots.
-- Sector clearance will be completed numerically, unless detailed otherwise during phase 3.
PHASE 6: Break Contact (night time)
- ALL CALLSIGNS initiate an extended break contact in accordance with "Scheme of Break Contact".
-- Strong Points 1 & 2 will be utilized as exceptional positions as contact permits.
- Break contact continues until friendly recovery assets are reached to the East.
Scheme of Break Contact
- Break contact will use successive bounding, rotating fire support and movement as detailed below.
- Extensive and proactive suppression by the integrated machineguns will be critical for maintaining fire superiority, fixing the enemy in place and avoiding an opposing flanking maneuver.
-Should we lose fire superiority and suffer a flanking maneuver, ALL CALLSIGNS will initiate a recovery flank.
- BAKER 1 will relieve the flanked element with fire support. The flanked element will initiate a counter-flank, utilizing the BOF efforts of an expanded squad HQ.
-The non-flanked element will dig in, create a highly defendable position, and utilize overwhelming suppression from the embedded machinegun to regain fire superiority on the original front, and permit continued break contact efforts when the flank is secured.
Administration/Logistics
Resupply- ALL CALLSIGNS will ensure adequate supplies on person to sustain functions for the duration of the operation. -- Backpacks of varying sizes will be available to ALL CALLSIGNS. - Fireteam-level ammo bearers will exclusively carry ammunition for the integrated machineguns. - The Squad-level ammo bearer will exclusively carry ammunition for the recoilless rifles, bringing 5 additional rounds to share between the squad. - BAKER 1 will carry extensive medical resupply. - Fireteam leaders will be provided a backpack to fill with any additional supplies deemed necessary.
