Situation
Background InformationDecember 25th 1944 Bastogne, Belgium --- To the German Commander. NUTS! The American Commander --- Five days into the siege of Bastogne, the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment is holding firm at the southern flank of the city against the formidable 26th Volksgrenadier Division and a detachment of the Panzer Lehr Division. The day prior, weather finally allowed for a steady and much needed air resupply of ammo, food, medicine and other equipment. Elements of Patton's Third Army are on their way and just a day or so away, and until they arrive, we must hold the line and prevent the enemy from gaining any foothold in the town.
