Background Information
The island nation of Tanoa, once a peaceful tourist destination, has been shaken by violence. Earlier today, the U.S. Embassy’s chief official was attacked outside his residence. His exact condition is unknown, but intelligence suggests he has retreated to a secure safe room. For years, the insurgent group Independent Resistance of the Nation of Tanoa — codename IRON — has been kept at bay by the Tanoan military. However, recent instability has allowed them to strike more aggressively. CIA sources confirm IRON is responsible for this attack, and intercepts indicate they are planning further violence against U.S. personnel.
