Situation
Background InformationDuring the uneasy transfer of territory to Sahrani after the US invasion of Takistan, insurgent units are trying to use this opportunity to take back control. The Narran Daren Pass, the only paved road access to the South Takistan Enclave is now under insurgent control, with any transport of good or military being attacked or ransomed. A Platoon of the Royal Army Corps is dispatched to clear the area and retake control of the supply route. Friendly Forces
6th Company from the 3rd Mountain Division has just arrived at the Rasman military airbase. As it's first tasking, GOLF Platoon is to secure the road access to the southern region. The Company's 81mm Mortar section is reinforcing GOLF Platoon for the duration of the mission.
Supporting Assets
The Company and the Airbase's ground forces are the only friendly elements present in the AO, friendly aircrafts will continue strategic logistical support in the area.
Enemy Forces
The enemy is expected to act in small groups, using ambush tactics. They are known to use civilian lives and housing as cover when engaging in combat. Mostly reinforced with trucks and pick-ups, some have been repurposed as technicals with heavy weapons mounted.
Mission
TaskingProceed through the valley to investigate and neutralise insurgent activity. Individuals suspected of supporting insurgents are to be arrested for questioning
End-state
GOLF is to clear the southern area of insurgent activity, should the Platoon become unable to continue the mission, they are to establish a defensive perimeter and await relief forces.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent is to do a Foot patrol in the AO to gather intel and deal with insurgent stronghold
Tasks and Sequencing
PHASE 0 ALL CALLSIGNS will be ready 5 minutes after start ex and formed up at RP 0 for last verbal briefing. After briefing friendly elements will be driving us towards our AO. Dismounting at the Dismount marker. Forming a Staggered column on the road. Formation will be GOLF 1 , GOLF 9 GOLF 2 ,GOLF 3 PHASE 1 Objective 1 we will do a presence patrol and talk with the locals and gather intel about possible enemy position and movement. Unless getting hostile contact from buildings we will not enter houses or compounds unless invited by the locals. Incase of no intel about enemy movement around Objective 1 we will move to Objective 2 following the road At Objective 2 we will continue to gather intel and talk with locals. Same rules apply do not enter compounds unless being engaged by the enemy from it. PHASE 2 Objective 3 is a old FOB most likely used by the enemy. GOLF 3 will setup a fire position ready to suppress the surrounding mountains when required by FO. GOLF 1 and GOLF 2 will use Squad bounding to enter the objective. The town is expected to have civilians in or very close to the FOB. GOLF 1 and GOLF 2 should focus on the FOB and only move further into the town when being engaged from buildings. But priority is to clear the FOB. GOLF 3 should not engage any buildings in to the town unless the call is immediate suppression. Once FOB is secured Logistic resupply will be called as well humanitarian supplied be delivered. to try to win the local populace approval. PHASE 3 If time permits we will continue down towards Objective 4 proceed trough it talking with locals and spot any insurgent activities Using the same procedures as with Objective 2 PHASE 4 If time permits we will continue down towards Objective 5 proceed trough it talking with locals and spot any insurgent activities Using the same procedures as with Objective 2
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyALL CALLSIGNS will cross the LD fully loaded according to the units SOP. These supplies will come from the staging area. This basic load is expected to sustain the team throughout the mission, without support. There is resupply planned by BUNKER wil arrive at Objective 3 unless earlier resupply is required . Which will then be organized with BUNKER
Medical
- Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field)
Rules of Engagement
CPERS should be turned over to BUNKER for evacuation to the rear.
