Situation
Background Information
The year is 1968, the USA never deployed to Vietnam. The USSR took the fall of Southern Vietnamese forces as an opportunity to forward deploy troops and reinforce their position in the Vietnamese peninsular. The PSRV welcomed this with arms open. Last week the PSRV formally invaded Laos and Cambodia, both nations governments quickly fell and both PSRV Forces and USSR Forces have begun reinforcing the area. Our Intelligence assets in the region believe that they may be staging for an attack on either Australia or The Philippines. This CANNOT happen
After capturing the strategic foothold airbase of San Bay Ban it is important we consolidate these gains to ensure that our time in country is not cut short. Latest intel indicates that remnant forces are hiding in the old spring river south east of the airbase. It is necessary that we clear out this area and recover any possible intel
