Situation
Background Information
The year is 1968, the USA never deployed to Vietnam. The USSR took the fall of Southern Vietnamese forces as an opportunity to forward deploy troops and reinforce their position in the Vietnamese peninsular. The PSRV welcomed this with arms open. Last week the PSRV formally invaded Laos and Cambodia, both nations governments quickly fell and both PSRV Forces and USSR Forces have begun reinforcing the area. Our Intelligence assets in the region believe that they may be staging for an attack on either Australia or The Philippines. This CANNOT happen
After Securing FSB Quan Loi in previous weeks the joint US Army and Australian forces have held their ground against probing attacks from join VC and USSR Forces while strengthening our foothold in the region. During this time USMC elements have arrived to reinforce the region and plan to make their presence known with a frontal beach assault to secure Saigon
