The year is 1968, the USA never deployed to Vietnam. The USSR took the fall of Southern Vietnamese forces as an opportunity to forward deploy troops and reinforce their position in the Vietnamese peninsular. The PSRV welcomed this with arms open. Last week the PSRV formally invaded Laos and Cambodia, both nations governments quickly fell and both PSRV Forces and USSR Forces have begun reinforcing the area. Our Intelligence assets in the region believe that they may be staging for an attack on either Australia or The Philippines. This CANNOT happen

The USMC previously made a daring assault to capture FOB Marlboro and succeeded in leaving their mark on the conflict by succeeding with ease. However Intelligence is suggesting that this may have been a trap. The initial counter attack that was deterred appears to have been nothing more than a probe at or defences and we MUST prepare for more. Unfortunately our CAS elements have been grounded by poor weather at sea and fire support is being airlifted in from FSB Quan loi.

Reinforcements are enroute but will take 36 hours to mobilise and join you. KNIGHT 9 M48 Patton Yankee in 2 x CH-34 Seahorse to airlift supplies for the defence Hammer 81mm Mortar Section to be Airlifted in at the start of the OP
