Situation

Background Information
The Cold War has been raging on for 5 decades, but is seemingly coming to an end with the instability of the Warsaw pact. With the East German withdrawal from the Pact a year before, the end is looming near. During the first months of 1991, Premier Gorbachev was ousted from power by the military and other high ranking members of his party. This new government has increased pressure on Finland, and is seemingly attempting to replace the hole left in the Warsaw pact by the DDR, with a Finnish satellite state. Even with all the pressure and threats, the government and military are not intending to concede to the crumbling Soviet Union, ready to use all means necessary to maintain Finnish sovereignty. Finland has been raising reservist units towards wartime strength in secret, and preparing for the worst. A special taskforce has been built up in the region of Archie, in the Gulf of Finland, to respond to unauthorized Soviet border crossings and subversive activities in the region, which has due to its strategic location, been the hotspot for them. The Finnish Defence Forces and SuPo have identified a compound, pontentially hosting recently stolen FDF equipment. The perpetrators are suspected of being Finnish collaborators and or KGB operatives. DOG 1 is tasked with retrieving issued vehicles and making way to Puolikas Island, to spearhead a local law enforcement operation, This operation will mark the first direct action against the illegal Soviet operations on Finnish soil.

Supporting Assets
Friendly high readiness conscript unit stationed on Puolikas island, will start leaving the AO once DOG 1 arrives. Kaakkois-Suomen Rajavartiolaitos, Ensimmäinen Rajajääkärikomppania, Toinen Ryhmä Small regional borderguard detachment Kaakkois-Suomen Poliisilaitos Local Law enforcement DOG 1 will eventually be reinforced by the rest of the company and battlegroup.

Enemy Forces
76th Guards Chernigov Red Banner Air Assault Division and 69th Guards Motor Rifle Division Guarding the border. VDV is in full combat capacity. KGB Directorate "SCh" including Group Alpha suspected in the region.

Mission

Tasking
DOG 1 is tasked with forming into combat effective state, and move to garrison Puolikas Island. Once on the island, DOG 1 is to meet up with local law enforcement, and spearhead a planned operation into an suspected KGB operation site within Finland. Main goal is to retrive possible intel, apprehend or eliminate the cell, and retrive the stolen equipment. Execution

Commander's Intent
Intent is to relieve the conscripts on the island, ASSAULT the target compound, retrieve/destroy lost equipment, search for intel and conduct a patrol along the finnish soviet border If questioned by anyone we are conscripts relieving the previous conscripts, under no circumstance should anything else be said we are not at war with the soviets yet, so they are not to be engaged unless the situation changes. as we are on friendly territory, expect civilians and friendly conscripts to still be in the area throughout the op

Tasks and Sequencing
ALL CALLSIGNS will carry their own resupply and are expected to sustain themselves throughout the mission combat engineer will mainly carry a load of demolition charges to dispose of equipment we can not secure at startex briefing will be conducted and final preparations are done. Convoy order will be: DOG 1-1 and DOG 1-2 DOG 1 When stopping or parking ALL CALLSIGNS are expected to park their vehicles in foliage cover PHASE 0 After brief ALL CALLSIGNS will mount up on trucks and head to collect our service vehicles once we have retrieved the vehicles, ALL CALLSIGNS will make their way towards the black line and sail towards island puolikas following the black line and drive to the conscript HQ this part of the op will take some time due to immersion and lore purposes, patience is expected from all players PHASE 1 Once done with conscript hq, ALL CALLSIGNS will move following the red line towards the target compound while getting a police escort. Once closer DOG 1-1 and DOG 1-2 will create a breach into the compound with their vehicle, move in and dismount. Tasking is to apprehend or eliminate suspected KGB agents and search for any intel, with DOG 1-1 taking the west side and DOG 1-2 taking the east side. PHASE 2 When target compound has been cleared and if there is no further intel ALL CALLSIGNS will step off following the green line conducting a patrol along the border. Further tasking depends on intel found and interrogated enemy prisoners. When no further tasking is recieved, ALL CALLSIGNS will regroup for ENDEX

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
ALL CALLSIGNS will be fully loaded and expected to sustain themselves throughout the entire op should we require emergency resupply, we will be able to do so from the conscripts camp

Medical
Medical support will be conducted in field (PAK in Field)

Rules of Engagement
Soviets are not to be engaged unless the situation changes EPWs are to be interrogated and then handed over to the local authorities
