Situation

Background Information
DURING OPERATION MAGIC TWINS, OUR FORCES WERE ABLE TO RECOVER THE BODY OF KHALID MOHAMED KUMAR (KMK) AND VALUABLE INTELLIGENCE WAS FOUND ON HIS PERSON. ANALYSIS OF DATA FROM HIS MOBILE PHONE HAS ALLOWED MI-6 TO IDENTIFY AN IRAQI NATIONAL - JAMEL AL-HASSAMI - WHO WE BELIEVE HAS VALUABLE INTELLIGENCE PERTAINING TO THE POSSIBLE PRODUCTION OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS BY THE TERRORIST ORGANISATION WORKING CLOSELY WITH DRUG GANGS, HARIQ FI ALSAMA (FIRE IN THE SKY), IN THE CITY OF FALLUJAH. WE HAVE IDENTIFIED THE LOCATION OF AL-HASSAMI’S HIDEOUT AND WE SHOULD BRING HIM IN FOR INTERROGATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DR. NADIA KUMAR WILL REMAIN WITH THE UNIT AND PROVIDE TECHNICAL ADVICE WITH REGARDS TO POTENTIAL CHEMICAL WEAPONS THREATS. SHE SHOULD BE PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES.

Execution

Commander's Intent
Secure the chemical weapons Hariq Fi Alsama plans to deploy, or gain further intel as to its nature and whereabouts. Under no circumstances are Dr. Nadia Kumar or Mr. Jamel Al-Hassami to die. Regarding our relations with the Iraqi Armed Forces, we are to deescalate. Under no circumstances short of a threat of life are we to engage with the Iraqi Army. Respond to the rapidly evolving situation with keen eyes and an open mind as need arises.

Tasks and Sequencing
Mr. Jamel Al-Hassami is located in a house in the Jolan neighbourhood of Fallujah. LIMA must remain covert throughout their movement through the city. Dr. Kumar will be with LIMA ACTUAL to move freely where her expertise is needed. Specific tasking is to be decided in the field. Phase 1 A small element of LIMA will spearhead the movement and radio back the best route for the remaining troop. On arrival in the Jolan neighbourhood, LIMA will surround the VIP compound. LIMA 1-1 provides close overwatch. LIMA 1-2 enters to extract Mr. Al-Hassami. If Al-Hassami does not initially co-operate, use of nonlethal force is authorised. LIMA exfiltrates to SAFEHOUSE JUPITER for interrogation of Mr. Al-Hassami. Phase 2 Given a certain probability of chemical weapons in a CQC scenario, LIMA will re-kit with CBRN gear and suppressed submachine guns to avoid overpenetration and collateral release. LIMA follows the intel to the revealed target compound. LIMA 1-2 provides close overwatch. LIMA 1-1 enters the target compound.
