--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---

Situation

Background Information
During the raid on Camp Holiday, our forces were unable to complete data scrubbing protocols due to the high level of hostile interference. The level of damage caused by explosives and the subsequent fire were believed to have destroyed our paper trail. However, a few days later, GCHQ alerted command to a security breach pertaining to one of the old devices. Using a laptop left behind during the raid, someone attempted to access encrypted data but were unable to get anything usable. GCHQ began to track the laptop’s ping where possible. Initially placing the laptop at the home of one Sadat Fahim, ajournalist working at the Fallujah Times. Soon after, the laptop was moved to an Iraqi military base, suggesting Fahim had turned the device over to the Army. Yesterday, an infamous hacker known as Chimera (Khimera - Химера) landed in Fallujah. GCHQ has informed command that someone is again trying to access the data. With Chimera’s help, we believe the Iraqi army now has the capability to breach our encryption. With relations souring due to recent events, the Iraqi could sell this information to hostile nations. We have to recover the laptop before we can leave Fallujah.

Friendly Forces
1x British SAS special operations troop

Enemy Forces
The Iraqi military is a regular armed force now decidedly hostile. Due to their suspected alert state, mechanised mobilisation as encountered last night is likely. Iraqi infantry will be occupying the relevant sites. Light fortifications can be expected.

Mission

Tasking
Primary Objective Recover -or- destroy the laptop. If the encryption is breached, we suspect they will attempt to make backups offsite. We can prevent this by disabling the network of the base to buy ourselves more time. However, we will be unable to track the laptop if it loses network connection, so an accurate location or an early recovery is paramount. Secondary Objectives 1) Sweep Camp Holiday to recover or destroy all remaining paper trails. 2) Apprehend Chimera. Recover any information relating to his presence in Fallujah and his reasoning for working with the Iraqis where possible. Dossier photograph of Chimera

End-state
The mission is considered complete only upon recovery or destruction of the compromised laptop. A critical success is passed after complete eradication of our paper trail as well as the capture of Chimera.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The mission shall be accomplished with minimal destruction of civilian lives and property. The Iraqi military is to be avoided until all other options are exhausted and hostile escalation is necessary. Chimera is to be apprehended alive, if such opportunity arises.

Tasks and Sequencing
LIMA troop will covertly approach the Iraqi Military Base on the northwest outskirts of Fallujah. Phase 1 - LIMA ACTUAL and LIMA 1-1 will establish on the east or southeast bounds of the base. - LIMA 1-2 will approach the base from a westerly direction and begin a sweep. - ACTUAL and 1-1 will ensure there is no eastbound escape of Chimera or the compromised laptop along the road. Overt action commences upon infiltration and only at such time that the elimination of sentries and garrison calls for it. Phase 2 Through constant observation and communication, LIMA 1-1 will decide on an opportune moment to converge with 1-2 inside the base. While 1-2 rigs possible compromising material to detonate, 1-1 corners Chimera and/or disrupts a network connection after the securing of the laptop, either in location or in seizure. Phase 3 LIMA troop remounts their vehicles and approaches Camp Holiday from the northeast. ACTUAL and 1-2 sweep the camp to neutralise further paper trails with 1-1 and the marksman attached holding the perimeter. At the end of Phase 3, ENDEX at Safehouse Jupiter.
