Situation

Background Information
Continuing their secure action of the Eastern peninsula of the region, Canadian forces are pushing the town of Kirkonkylä, a nearby small supply port and a patrol base. With these objectives secure, the South-East peninsula of the region will be cut off from Russian forces. Fierce urban fighting is expected in the town, against an enemy determined to hold ground. Canadian teams stationed in key locations of the already secured terrain have seen occasional raids and probing forces from the Russians, and thus it is expected that the enemy are still interested in holding this part of the region.

Friendly Forces
1x Platoon of Canadian Forces with German Cavalry assets 2x Infantry Squads 1x IFV Section Of Marders 1x Rotary Asset 1x Fixed Wing Asset Various logistics assets.

Supporting Assets
Canadian forces are holding ground around the Church HQ that UNITAF teams raided last operation. They will back off once relieved.

Enemy Forces
Strong garrisons of Russian regular infantry forces, supported by entrenched positions and static weaponry. Hostile IFV support is expected to enter the AO from somewhere to the North, along MSRs.

Mission

Tasking
UNITAF troops are tasked with securing the throat of the peninsula currently part-occupied by Canadian forces to the South. Once the town of Kirkonkylä has been secured, a Supply Port to the North-West along with a Patrol Base to the North-East must be neutralised to complete the isolation of the peninsula. Patrolling and clearing of the South-West side of the peninsula will be conducted at a later time. Primary Tasking -Assault and Secure the town of Kirkonkylä -Assault and secure Supply Port Kilo -Assault and secure Patrol Base Oscar Secondary Tasking -Secure and return any intelligence or EPOWs found in the field -Set up the Supply Yard South-East of the town of Kirkonkylä for future use by Canadian forces

End-state
Once the objective areas are secure, Canadian ground forces will take over their defence and UNITAF teams will retreat back to either the Supply Yard or the initial Fortified Port at which they STARTEX'd

Execution

Commander's Intent
THE INTENT FOR THIS MISSION IS TO SECURE ENOUGH OF THE SOUTHERN SECTION, THAT THE GARRISON IN THE SOUTH WESTERN SIDE OF IT IS COMPLETELY CUT OFF.

Tasks and Sequencing
Starting at the fortified port Phase 1 a) Charlie & Golf will move via Route Reitti towards dismount point Alpha. Tango will provide recon on the AO. b) Romeo will move to the recently taken supply yard to set up a forward resupply point. Phase 2 a) Charlie 1 & 2 will dismount and move along there designated routes into the garrison at Kirkonkylä. b) Golf will move to support the infantry after they dismount. c) Charlie 1 & 2 will secure up to phase line 1 in Kirkonkylä. d) Charlie 1 & 2 will simultaneously move across Phase line 1 and secure Kirkonkylä. e) Romeo will then move in and resupply Charlie where necessary. Phase 3 a) Charlie will mount up into Golf and move west towards dismount point Bravo. b) Charlie will dismount and head north on there designated routes. Golf will move onto Golf OP 1 and prepare to draw fire from the supply port. c) Charlie 1 & 2 will then conduct a assault on the port, based on what they see on the ground and secure it. Time Dependant Phase 4 a) Charlie will mount back into Golf, before heading east towards Patrol base Oscar. b) The Movement plan & Assault plan will be drawn in game based off of recon from Tango.
