Situation

Background Information
In an unexpected move, Russian forces have made a counter-attack on fortified Coalition positions in the North-West of the region. Intelligence and satellite images show the forces diverted from an adjacent area of operation in Finland to the West- an area where the Russians are performing somewhat more successfully. FOB Artemis has been hit hard and recaptured by the enemy- and Coalition HQ wants it back.

Supporting Assets
Resistance Cells have been known to be operating in the area. We have lost contact with the cell just South-East of FOB Artemis; determining the fate of this cell should be conducted as part of this operation. Another cell to the North-East of OBJ Apollo is within the area of operation for this mission, and contact should be made if you have the time and resources.

Enemy Forces
Russian mechanized and heavy armour-supported infantry has been streaming along MSR Iso Tie. They have for the most part begun to spread out and try to take more land so you won't be facing the full force, but expect plenty of reinforcements. Aircraft are expected, thus you have been provided AA capability.

Mission

Tasking
Your task for this operation is to act as the QRF response to a surprise Russian move of aggression to the Western part of our region of operation. On short notice, we've been able to outfit and provide Puma IFVs and a couple Gepard mobile AA vehicles. You are required to assault and take back FOB Artemis as well as OBJ Apollo, with a stretch objective to make contact with the Resistance Cell to the North-East of Apollo. On the way, attempt to make contact with the Resistance Cell near Artemis that we've lost contact with. Be wary and on the lookout for any resistance fighters in the area. Primary Tasking -Recapture FOB Artemis -Assault and secure OBJ Apollo Secondary Tasking -Determine the fate of the Resistance Cell we lost contact with -Make contact with the Resistance Cell North-East of Apollo -Determine- through captured intel and HUMINT- the scope of further Russian objectives during their counter-attack

Execution

Commander's Intent
The intent for today is to push back the Russian counter attack & secure FOB Artemis & OBJ Apollo.

Tasks and Sequencing
Starting at COP Manchester Phase 1 a) Victor & Bandit will move along Route Whiskey towards dismount point alpha. b) Upon arrival, all callsigns will dismount and move to BOF Positions. Phase 2 a) Victors 1 & 2 will assault the fortifications & proceed to BOF positions Phase 3 a) Victor will attack & secure FOB Artemis Phase 4 a) Victor will then move to BOF positions before assaulting objective Apollo.
