Situation
Background InformationWith the area immediately east of FOB Heartland secure and a potential IS/Taliban truce thwarted by our SF team the time has come to rescue the embattled ANA under siege to the east.

Mission
TaskingBAF are tasked with breaking out the ANA forces, and defending against any ongoing attacks from both Taliban and ISIS forces. The ANA don't have much left in them and are held up in a old disused patrol base. Once the ANA are freed the BAF forces in thr field have discression to act as required to eliminate threats from the ISIS/Taliban forces
End-state
ANA freed and the hostile forces dealt a damaging blow.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe purpose of this mission is to extract all surviving ANA forces, gain any available intel about insurgent activities in the area and exfil having rescued as many ANA as possible.
Tasks and Sequencing
AO Overview: Phase 1: Dragonfly 1 will mount the coyotes of callsign blackbird. Dragonfly 2 will mount the transport truck driven by eagle. All callsigns will proceed into the AO via the purple route. Convoy order will be Blackbird, then Eagle, then Dragonfly actual, then Phoenix. Speed and spacing will be issued in mission. All callsigns should remain aware of the potential for ambushes, even within areas believed to be under friendly control. Phase 2 will commence with all callsigns reaching WP7. Phase 2: All callsigns will proceed to dismound Apples or Bananas. Following dismount Dragonfly 1 should push along the road north towards the encircled ANA forces while dragonfly 2 approaches and secures the ANA FOB. Unless otherwise tasked Blackbird should support Dragonfly and provide security for Eagle and Phoenix. Phase 3 will commence with the FOB secure. Phase 3: With the FOB secure Eagle, assisted by Phoenix, will load up as many ANA personnel as possible and RTB escorted (at least into friendly territory) by Blackbird. Dragonfly callsigns should prepare for counterattacks from the taliban to the north west and IS from the south east. Additional tasking may be provided based on intel passed on by the ANA commander. Phase 3 will end with Eagle returning to friendly territory with ANA onboard. Phase 4: Blackbird and dragonfly callsigns should repel any counterattacks while searching for any ANA not accounted for. Eagle should return to the FOB with a logpak (again, escorted through OPFOR territory bt blackbird). Further tasking will be given in the field. ENDEX will occur when all ANA forces have been safely RTB.
Administration/Logistics
ResupplyDragonfly callsigns have embedded engineers should there be a need to defuse IEDs Eagle should return during phase 4 with a logpak, other essential supplies should be loaded into blackbird callsigns at the discretion of Eagle.
Medical
Medical support is provided by phoenix who have a medical vic.

EPWs should be surrendered to Phoenix for processing.
