Situation

Background Information
Command has ruled that the following an SF deployment to secure Generalleytnant Nikolai Kuzmich, command has authorised a company of infantry to secure the town of Ratzlingen. this advance will be screened to the north and south by friendly mechanised infantry elements as they proceed along their axis.

Friendly Forces

Mechanised companies to the north and south acting as a screening force

Enemy Forces
Intel suggests that soviet infantry, IFVs and heavy armour are holding the defensive lines and the town

Mission

Tasking
To destroy the three defensive lines protecting Ratzlingen to ensure supply lines stay open To seize the town of Ratzlingen from soviet forces and hold it against counter attack

End-state
Force disengaged from the enemy after holding Ratzlingen

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to take part in a regimental assault to take several key strategic towns east of our current front-line. E company Designation: WOLF will move to eliminate defensive lines protecting the town of Ratzlingen, before taking Ratzlingen itself, whilst F company and D company take towns approximately 2 km to the north and south respectively, essentially pushing the NATO frontline forwards in a massive offensive move.

Tasks and Sequencing
WOLF will move from FOB Javwel, ENE towards Ratzlingen within the company movement lane. HAWK platoon will take the north of the AO and EAGLE platoon will move on the southern side. Phase 1 is separated into 3 phase lines, each culminating in the capture of an enemy defensive line. Minefields to the north and south prevent large scale flanking maneuvers , and therefore each platoon will need to utilize their firepower and speed of movement to assault each defensive line. NOTE: CAS will be on standby to deal with OPFOR armour and aircraft and any targets should be designated with red smoke and radio'd upwards for CAS to engage. Upon the capture of defensive line 3 WOLF will take make the decision whether to conduct a LOGPAK before assaulting Ratzlingen, or whether the company is in a good enough state to take Ratzlingen and LOGPAK after, which would be preferable. Either way, the company will be resupplied by the time Ratzlingen is taken. In phase 2, the company will defend Ratzlingen from any enemy counterattack, most likely to come from the MSR to the east of Ratzlingen, as long as each company has completed its objective. The logistical team will be on hand to prepare any necessary defences to ensure success here.

Administration/Logistics

Resupply
LOGPAKs will likely occur after Ratzlingen is taken, but may occur at phase line 3 prior to the assault on Ratzlingen and during the enemy counter attack as needed.

Medical
PHOENIX will be on hand throughout the assault, and in a designated CCP in Ratzlingen in ambulances

Rules of Engagement
EPWs are to be transferred to SKYLARK to be transported back to FOB Javwel
