Situation

Background Information
After the capture of Kinduf the 75th rangers go airborne to secure key targets in the hills north of Afsher before moving in to the town itself. The Ranger platoon will be supported by 2 CAS little birds and an SF team.

3x CH-47 2x AH-6M little birds 2x Blackhawks (Medical/General)

Enemy Forces
Enemy force is expected to consist of small infantry teams, Technicals, BTRs/BMPs and VBIEDs.

Mission

Tasking
Take out enemy HQ and neutralise a SCUD launcher and prevent enemy reinforcement reaching Afsher.

End-state
After securing the HQ, SCUD and Razbula. Depending on time, Hold Razbula to prevent enemy reinforcement reaching Afsher or attack Afsher from the North.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this operation is to conduct a series of attacks on key enemy positions North of the town of Afsher under the guise of a diversionary attack from YNA positions based in Arobster, before moving in to clear Afsher itself. An attached SF team will conduct a raid on an enemy HQ to secure intel and prisoners before acting on anything viable in our AO.

Tasks and Sequencing
Phase 1 will consist of initial airdrop for Viper at DZ HELIUM and for Adder at DZ IRON, before proceeding to initially assigned sectors: Viper 1 to Sec B, Viper 2 to Sec A then C, holding the exterior for Viper 1 as they clear a marked cave system. After clearing the HQ at Sec P, Adder will assess and work on any actionable intelligence. Phase 2 will have Viper continuing along the valley to the centre of Razbula, dealing with Secs D and E. Adder will hopfoot over the AO airborne and deploy to clear secs F through H. Phase 3 will consist of repelling any enemy counter-attacks before proceeding to clear Afsher, with Adder hitting the Western outpost first and Viper punching into the town to clear key objectives. Sectors will be assigned in-operation.
