Situation

Background Information
At approximately 0700 hours today, the DOG Squad of the 9th Warmia Reconnaissance Regiment conducted a successful diversion and reconnaissance mission during Topnik. As a result of their actions, the enemy ranks have been thrown into chaos, creating an opportunity to clear the main MSR leading to the Republic of Lithuania. To capitalize on this opportunity, the 1st Podlaska Territorial Defense Brigade has assigned the GUARDIAN Platoon to take on this crucial task. With their specialized training and equipment, the GUARDIAN Platoon will utilize their skills to ensure a safe passage and establish a clear route for our forces towards the Republic of Lithuania. It is important to note that this mission is of the utmost importance to our overall strategy, and the success of this operation will have a significant impact on our efforts to protect our nation's borders. We wish the GUARDIAN Platoon the best of luck and urge them to remain vigilant and focused on their mission.

Friendly Forces
The Infantry Platoon GUARDIAN has been deployed to the area, and is ready to provide support as required. The platoon consists of two infantry squads, each with anti-tank (AT) capabilities, ensuring that we are well-prepared to handle any potential threats that may arise in the area In addition to the infantry squads, we also have a supporting sniper element on standby, identified by the callsign DOG 3. To ensure smooth and effective communication between all units in the area, the sniper element is accompanied by a dedicated radio operator, who will be responsible for maintaining clear and secure lines of communication at all times.

Supporting Assets
Following a comprehensive assessment of the current situation, HQ has confirmed that there are no friendly forces located in the area on both sides of the border. This situation remains unchanged until the area north of Grabin, where there is a small Forward Operating Base (FOB) belonging to the Army of the Czech Republic stationed on the Lithuanian side of the border. As a result, we must remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of our forces in the region. In order to do so, we are pleased to inform you that the HAMMER artillery team, stationed at Kryśnik Rocket Base, is available to provide support upon request. Their expertise and firepower will be critical in the event of any unforeseen circumstances that may arise in the area. However, it is important to note that their services should only be requested in the event of a genuine threat or emergency, as their resources are limited and must be conserved for the most pressing situations.

Enemy Forces
Based on intelligence reports, we have reason to believe that there are multiple platoons of mostly motor-rifle troops (MSV) operating in the area. While we have received reports that these troops are currently in a state of disorder, they still pose a significant threat to our operations and must be approached with caution. Furthermore, we have learned that the enemy has mined the majority of the border line with Anti-Personnel mines, which presents an additional risk to our soldiers. It is essential that all troops exercise extreme caution and watch out for red triangular signs marked with a skull symbol and the warning message 'Опасно мины!' (Danger Mines!). These mines can cause severe injury or death, and it is critical that all soldiers take appropriate measures to avoid them.

Mission

Tasking
The GUARDIAN Platoon has been assigned the mission of securing a safe passage around the area of Kolembrody, located in the northern part of the region, to establish a secure connection with the Republic of Lithuania. It is crucial to be vigilant and report any suspicious radio equipment since the Radioelectronic Centre has reported increased activity of Russian number stations. Despite our cryptologists' best efforts, they were unable to decipher the meaning of those messages. Furthermore, it is important to note that the border is well-defined with white and red poles and F-2a signs, as illustrated in the image below.

End-state
Following the successful clearing of the area around Kolembrody by the GUARDIAN Platoon, a safe passage to the Republic of Lithuania has been established and secured. The platoon effectively eliminated any remaining threats in the area and cleared any potential obstructions to the main supply route (MSR) leading to the border. After a thorough reconnaissance of the area, it was confirmed that there is no enemy activity in the AO, allowing for safe and unimpeded passage to the Republic of Lithuania.

Execution

Commander's Intent
THE PURPOSE OF THIS OPERATION IS TO SECURE THE NORTH-SOUTH MAIN SUPPLY ROAD PASSING THROUGH KOLEMBRODY. THIS TASK IS IMPORTANT FOR OUR TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY, AS IT PREVENTS FURTHER OPFOR PENETRATION SOUTH OF THE BIELA RIVER. THIS ALSO CANALISES OPFOR ATTEMPTS AT PENETRATION TO KEY ENGAGEMENT AREAS ELSEWHERE ALONG BIELA RIVER, STABILISING OUR FRONTLINES AND ENABLING BROADER RE-ORGANISATION AND POTENTIAL COUNTERATTACKS INTO ENEMEY-HELD TERRITORY. KEY TASKS - DEFEAT OPFOR ELEMENTS SOUTH OF THE BIELA RIVER - SECURE NORTH-SOUTH MSR GOING THROUGH KOLEMBRODY

Tasks and Sequencing
OUR OPERATION IS DIVIDED INTO FIVE PHASES: (I) DESTROY OPFOR ELEMENTS SOUTH OF THE BIELA RIVER. (II) CLEAR OPFOR CAMPS WEST OF KOLEMBRODY. (III) SEIZE KOLEMBRODY. (IV) SECURE AREAS NORTH OF KOLEMBRODY. REFER TO THE MAP FOR VISUAL REFERENCES. PHASE 1 - DESTROY PHASE 1 BEGINS WITH GUARDIAN PLATOON DEPARTING THE ASSEMBLY AREA IN TARNÓW SUPPLY BASE, AND ENDS WITH OPFOR FORCES DESTROYED OR WITHDRAWING NORTH OF THE RIVER. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PHASE IS TO DEFEAT ANY ENEMY PRESENCE REMAINING SOUTH OF THE RIVER. SUCCESSFULLY DESTROYING ENEMY TROOPS HERE SETS THE CONDITIONS FOR FURTHER ADVANCEMENTS NORTH AND SECURING THE MSR. GUARDIAN 1 MOVES TO SBF G1-ALPHA VIA WP G1-01 , AND ESTABLISHES SUPPORT-BY-FIRE POSITIONS TO DRAW FIRE FROM ENEMY POSITIONS. GUARDIAN 1 WILL CALL SET ONCE SBF POSITION HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. ONCE EITHER GUARDIAN 2 HAS COMPLETED THEIR TASK OR SBF POSITION BECOMES UNTENABLE, GUARDIAN 1 IS TO MOVE UP TO FOLLOW AND SUPPORT GUARDIAN 2. GUARDIAN 2 MOVES TO ASLT G2-BRAVO VIA WP G2-01 AND WP G2-02, THEN DESTROYS ENEMY POSITIONS AND SECURES OBJECTIVE ARMENIA. GUARDIAN 2 IS NOT TO MOVE ANY FURTHER THAN WP G2-02 BEFORE GUARDIAN 1 IS SET. DOG IS TASKED WITH GENERAL RECONNAISSANCE WEST OF KOLEMBRODY. PARTICULAR INTEREST IS MOVEMENT ALONG THE NORTHEAST-SOUTHWEST MAIN SUPPLY ROUTE AND ENEMY COMPOSITIONS IN OBJECTIVE BAHRAIN. THIS PHASE ENDS WITH GUARDIAN RALLIED AT RLY CHARLIE. PHASE 2 - CLEAR PHASE 2 INITIATES WITH GUARDIAN POSTURED IN OR AROUND THE HAMLET IN FIGURES 079-116, AND ENDS WITH ENEMY CAMP IN FIGURES 178-121 IS CLEARED. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PHASE IS TO PREVENT POTENTIAL QUICK REACTION FORCES PRIOR TO SEIZING KOLEMBRODY. THIS ALSO ALLOWS FOR SAFE INFIL OF ADDITIONAL FORCES THROUGH THE BRIDGE DIRECTLY SOUTH OF THIS OBJECTIVE. GUARDIAN MOVES TO RELEASE POINT DELTA VIA WP G9-1 AND WP G9-2. GUARDIAN 2 WILL BE ON POINT, WITH GUARDIAN 1 ON A FOLLOW AND ASSUME TASKING. GUARDIAN 1 MOVES TO ASLT G1-FOXTROT VIA WP G1-11, THEN CLEARS THE OBJECTIVE FROM THE SOUTHEAST AFTER GUARDIAN 2 HAS ESTABLISHED A SUPPORT-BY-FIRE POSITION. GUARDIAN 1 IS NOT TO MOVE BEYOND ASLT G1-FOXTROT PRIOR TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SBF G2-ECHO OR BY ORDER OF GUARDIAN 9, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. GUARDIAN 2 ESTABLISHES A SUPPORT-BY-FIRE POSITION CLOSE TO SBF G2-ECHO. ONCE THE SUPPORT-BY-FIRE POSITION IS NO LONGER EFFECTIVE, GUARDIAN 2 WILL ESTABLISH ISOLATION ALONG THE NORTHEAST-SOUTHWEST MAIN SUPPLY ROAD TO PREVENT ANY ENEMY COUNTERATTACK. DOG IS TASKED WITH GENERAL RECONNAISSANCE WEST OF KOLEMBRODY. PARTICULAR INTEREST IS ENEMY COMPOSITIONS IN OBJECTIVE BAHRAIN, THOUGH DOG SHOULD ALSO PROVIDE EARLY WARNING OF ANY ENEMY MOVEMENT INCOMING FROM THE EAST. THIS PHASE ENDS WITH RUSSIAN TROOPS AT THE CAMP DESTROYED. PHASE 3 - SEIZE PHASE 3 COMMENCES ONCE RUSSIAN FORCES IN OBJECTIVE X HAVE BEEN DEFEATED AND ANY QUICK REACTION FORCE HAS BEEN NEUTRALISED AND ENDS WITH KOLEMBRODY SEIZED BY BLUFOR. THE PURPOSE OF THIS TASK IS TO DENY ENEMY USAGE OF THE NORTH-SOUTH MAIN SUPPLY ROUTE AND THE KOLEMBRODY BRIDGE, DISALLOWING FURTHER RUSSIAN EXCURSIONS SOUTH OF THE RIVER. BY SEIZING KOLEMBRODY, WE GAIN TACTICAL ADVANTAGE OF THE AREA. GUARDIAN RALLIES AT RLY GOLF AND MOVES TO RELEASE POINT HOTEL. GUARDIAN 1 IS ON POINT WITH GUARDIAN 2 ON A FOLLOW AND ASSUME TASKING. GUARDIAN 1 SEIZES NORTH SIDE OF KOLEMBRODY, REMAINING PARALLEL TO GUARDIAN 2. GUARDIAN 1 MUST REMAIN VIGILANT OF ENEMY MANOEUVRES ON THEIR NORTHERN FLANK. GUARDIAN 2 SEIZES SOUTH SIDE OF KOLEMBRODY, REMAINING PARALLEL TO GUARDIAN 1. SHOULD GUARDIAN 2 FINISH THEIR SECTOR FIRST, THEY ARE TO MANOEUVRE TO SECURE NORTH FLANK. DOG IS TASKED WITH RECONNAISSANCE OF KOLEMBRODY AND OBJECTIVE CAMBODIA BROADLY. IF POSSIBLE, DOG SHOULD ALSO MAINTAIN EYES ON LIKELY OPFOR QRF AVENUES OF APPROACH. THIS PHASE ENDS WITH KOLEMBRODY SEIZED AND SECURED BY GUARDIAN. PHASE 4 - SECURE PHASE 4 COMMENCES ONCE KOLEMBRODY HAS BEEN SEIZED AND ENDS WITH GUARDIAN EXECUTING RELIEF IN PLACE WITH OTHER CALLSIGN, EXACT CALLSIGN TO BE DETERMINED, ARRIVING FROM TARNÓW. LEADERS SHOULD EXPECT TO GATHER AT THIS POINT TO DESIGNATE KEY TASKS AND SECTORS, AS THESE WILL BE METT-TC-DEPENDENT.
