Situation

Background Information
During the Battle for Shegamar Valley, many civilians fled the area. Most fled south to US held territory but many could only flee into the IS held region. Survellience has picked up a refugee camp to the East of Shegamar. With confirmed reports of IS targetting civilians, the Yemeni government has requested US aid in securing the camp and escorting the civilians back to safety.

Supporting Assets
YNA are holding checkpoints into the AO but will not be assisting.

Enemy forces are expected to be heavily infantry focused but potential for armoured and mechanised assets

Kilo Platoon is tasked with securing a refugee camp and coordinating the safe extraction of the camp

Commander's Intent
Push through to the Refugee camp Evac Refugees Clear through area and resist any counter attack

Tasks and Sequencing
LZs & alt LZs will be assigned by the Air team in Grid 18, 11 We will then push towards the refugee camp, clearing out any IS encampments en route to it. Weapons team will hold the high ground to the east during our advance and then cover us through a base of fire against any counter attack. Logistics, mascas and civ evac will be dealt with by the logi element, called in through the comms specialist. Once refugees are evacuated we will continue on east or react to contact dependent on the situation
